Never a truer word how many families were broken up by men and women who had to leave home to find work in another country i am an englishman born in Camden Town London I met many a young man in the early sixties nice lads we used to drink in a pub called the mother Redcap.great Craic i often wonder where they are now some might have went home some might even be gone at least we had the days.

very sad song. I used to listen with my Mum and we would talk about it and all the Irish who had to leave home. My Mum passed away 2 years ago, which makes it very sad, and I hope she can hear it still, Rest in Peace and until we meet again. XX
