Kate, I know I always say this but you always amaze me with your memory of all the specs for the machine and for not getting tongue twisted with all the GSSX model's S,F,GT,R etc. LOL But honestly I think that there's a lot of interest for this bike and i can see Suzuki selling quite a few. As for colours I've got the new Gsxs 1000 naked in black which i love but those blue colours are very impressive. Great walk around again Kate and thanks for showing us those detachable panniers.....I think you're the first person to demonstrate how to remove them. Awesome going......looking forward for the follow up ride experience. 👍😊

Yep, Suzuki will shift a fair few of these, and rightly so. Fantastic equipment levels and at a reasonable price. I’ve had loooaaaads of Suzi’s over the years and it seems as they’ve come up with a winner. Great info and good demonstration of the ‘bike. Be interested on your thoughts on fuelling when you ride it. Common trait on newer bikes is high revs at small throttle openings then winding on they can really snatch. Keep ‘em comin’ Kate. 👍👍

Hi Kate before I transitioned to BMW I owned a number of Suzuki's GSXR 100m, Hayabusa's, Vstroms etc and found them the most reliable of bikes!! i have just swapped my GSXS1000F for a brand new Tracer 9 GT , would have considered this bike but i wanted a more comfortable riding position , great to see Suzuki has finally starting to catch up with other manufacturers , TFT ! took them long enough and connectivity as well , even my Tracer hasn't got that , i do miss the 150bhp though. always had Suzuki's from GSXR1000 to TLR1000 , just thought i would try a different manufacturer.

Great review Kate, very clear and concise. Well done, looking forward to the next ones. As far as the bike itself goes:- Not impressed! This is just my opinions, but, No adjustment on the screen, no centre stand, the fixing points for the panniers look very untidy, when there's no panniers fittted (kawasaki are much neater). I personally don't like the TFT dash, I think it could have been done better, more BMW like?!! Also, not a fan of the front end, too much like an R1 for me. As I said, just my opinions, each to their own, nice bike, not for me, but great review by you Kate. Grumps.

Hi Kate, I have never used a quick shifter and auto blipper, so when you do the ride vid can you explain how this set up is used. Ta
@UsernameKate2 жыл бұрын
Hey Col, I'll briefly mention it if it will help. Just means you can go up the gear box without clutch with a quick shifter and down the box with a blipper without clutch. It is quite common for bikes to come with quickshifters (going up) but not blippers (coming down) so having both is very nice! On this bike, you only need to pull the clutch in when stopping and let it out when setting off. Just use your foot to change gear as normal but you can just hold the bars and not concern yourself with pulling the clutch in :) hope this helps :)

about what I pay to insure a 2004 Busa, fully.. not bad considering, considering we have to pay for all the squids that routinely crash then all the bikes that get stolen, LOCK EM UP! alarms, GPS as in lo jack, all that, maybe even hide a phone somewhere tapped into the battery with the find my phone always on as well... jackers.... cannot stand em... also that 2022 has a slipper clutch as well, nice feature,... the clutch will break in and be a lil' easier to move after a few thousands miles but the auto blip and quick shift should not be use at slow riding speeds, you need at least 9.5k+ on the upshift for sure.. look into that so you are not wearing out your trans early.. thanks for the review, it's a gem of a bike for sure, I see you're getting 40 mpg is that mixed or? lucky girl for sure

@@UsernameKate I do too. I just don't like the appearance of the front lights on a gsxs 1000s. I can live with the additional weight because of just that fact. But when you removed the panniers that was excellent since no one had shown what the bike would look like without them. I could live without the panniers until I took a multi day trip. Most of the time I would be just enjoying 154 hp through the mountains. Indeed you must do well at BMW.

My only complaint about this bike is that there is no provision for a top box, which for for a GT bike isn’t good. Pillions prefer a top box for the additional security they offer plus the additional luggage capacity
@UsernameKate2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that shocked me a bit! I mention it in my walk round as a gripe 😬
@SLO-Ride2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, it began life as sport bike, and the original design simply doesn't accommodate a tail structure for a top box. To build a GT from the ground up, would certainly include a standard hard box pillion and panniers. Of course, here in the States, a GT is seen and used differently than Europe.
