A very moving experience, literally and metaphorically. As painting is silent, so is dance, and in both, the creative soul can never be other than it is, which is its triumph, but also its doom. Thanks to the NG for posting this: it deserves the widest audience.

I don't understand the hate in the comments. People complaining it can't be compared to the work of the old masters, as if the commenters knew anything about pose, form, narrative or drama. I'm sure the dancers and composer have spent a lot more time studying the works of the great masters, than those in the comments, who seem to just want to be seen paying lip service to some anti-modern sentiment.

This is nonsense to have made at the NG or in any Old Masters museum. It's sad that the NG needs to be fashionable. That could have been pleased me but in a more appropriate location.
