Someone mentioned 'tail of the Dragon' , your ride is way-more-technical . I laughed after I watched a few 'Dragon-rides' compared-to NZ roads . We have tighter-turns , more of-them , half the road-width , poor-surface and it just goes-on . My local-ride Route is far-harder than 'The Dragon'... just to get to town ! no bastard has even offered to sell me a 'T'-Shirt ! Dave

All the videos I have seen on the Dragon have all been people riding very nice sports bikes, with a few of them coming off their bikes, which is never a good time. Mind you, there is no better feeling when pushing yourself and your bike through a good part of a road. The key is not to push too hard.

@@ivananda865ccinterceptor Yep , we all tend to push too-hard at times . It works until you take the wrong-line through a corner, go too-wide and whoops.. I'm an older-rider (69) but I do like a bike that sounds good and goes a bit-hard . Had all the fast-stuff over the years , it becomes boring compared to riding a machine you have to engage-with , old-fashioned riding how it used to be . Like you , I've built a few bikes over the years (I even have a GN250 I thought about turning into a dirt-bike ) Been pottering-away on an XS650 Cafe' that came from up your-way (deceased Engineer ) It needs more $$ thrown at it , I'll have to sell something Dave

@kdsowen2882 I was looking at a Himalayan as an off road bike but in the end the GN250's are cheap and light. I watch someone who turned a 650 Interceptor into a scrambler, He took it off the beaten track and struggled with it. The bike was too heavy. I haven't done any offroading so I thought I'd start with a bike that's light.
