RE-SEEDING THE DUNGEON FOR THE HEROES 2ND & 3RD DELVE INTO THE DUNGEON: Hello everyone and good day to you. :) This is Rodger, the creator of the Avalon Adventure board game in Dungeon Crusade and I hope everybody is having a great day. I wanted to post this here and a few other places about what is coming to Dungeon Crusade and this awesome change. I again want to thank Callasmar for The incredible playthrough. I'm a super passionate creator and I want to give everyone the best experience possible. So let me share this with you. One of the issues with the game is something Callasmar mentioned is when the heroes go back into the dungeon for their second and third delve some of the elements of the game are gone, in regards to exploring, like the treasure chests, the crates, the secret rooms, the mystery chambers, etc. What I've been working on (besides the new game mode to offer a highly accelerated and shorter game) is how to re-seed the dungeon for when the heroes go back into the dungeon for the second and third dungeon delve. So basically treasure chests will repopulate, the mining sites will switch around, crates will reappear in the dungeon, mystery chambers and secret rooms will reappear, and a few other things. And of course, this will all be randomly generated I'm doing the graphic design for the page for the rule book so this will be official. I know a lot of people wanted this so it will be coming to the game. I'll have a video on the Dungeon Crusade KZbin channel soon going over all this. I wanted to take the time to say a massive thank you to Callasmar for doing such an awesome and epic playthrough of Dungeon Crusade. My friend, I am super grateful to you. You really showcased so much about the game, and it was perfect. And of course I want to thank everyone who checked out the playthrough. I hope you enjoyed learning about the Avalon Adventure board game and Dungeon Crusade and had some fun watching Callasmar play. I'm very grateful to all of you. I wanted to touch on a few things here since we're wrapping up to play through. First of all, in regards to the final quest table, or the final dungeon delve, in the design I kind of wanted that to be the big showdown between the heroes and the level three and level four Guardians and Champion monsters. Yes, some of the exploration is gone on the third quest table, but I wanted to give the player this epic showdown between the highest-level monsters and creatures in the game. NEW GAME MODE IS COMING TO DUNGEON CRUSADE THAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON: I've been working on a brand new game mode for Dungeon Crusade that will offer a highly accelerated and shorter game. I know many people have wanted this, so I will be debuting it very soon on the Dungeon Crusade KZbin channel. Of course, this will be a free download. Everything is the same in how you play except for a few little tweaks. I'm trying to finish up the reveal video, and there will be an instruction sheet for the Dungeon Crusade Crusaders Handbook rule book for this new game mode. I think a lot of people are going to love this, and it gives them what they've always wanted: a MUCH ^^ quicker way to play and enjoy Dungeon Crusade. WHAT I SET OUT TO DO WITH THE AVALON ADVENTURE BOARD GAME AND DUNGEON CRUSADE: I'd like to share some history about me and the game I've shared this before. I set out to break the mold of the fantasy adventure/RPG/dungeon crawl genre and give fellow gamers and people something creative, innovative, thematic, immersive, challenging, and fun. I'm a diehard soloist board gamer, so I built the game from the ground up for soloist gamer, but it can be played co-op just as easily. Ever since I was young, until now, I've been incredibly passionate about fantasy adventure/RPG/dungeon crawl types of games. I grew up playing board games like Dungeonquest, Dark Tower, Warhammer Quest, and of course, Heroquest. But I also LOVE those PC RPGs from that golden era, as I call it. Games like the Ultima series, Eye of the Beholder, Might & Magic, Icewind Dale, Wizardry, and my personal favorite Baldur's Gate. Plus, many more. I'm a Diablo junkie! I poured a ton of creativity, imagination, thematic storytelling, passion, and ingenuity into designing the Avalon Adventure board game and Dungeon Crusade for people to give them a genuinely new experience to have and enjoy. With the patrol route system, I have always wanted to develop/create a "living dungeon" experience with monsters and creatures moving throughout the dungeon with unpredictable movement patterns. The patrol route system works incredibly effectively for this...LOL, almost too good! ;) Sorry to be so long-winded, but I wanted to let you know more about me, the game, and what I was out to do for fellow gamers and people. I was also inspired by my love for MMORPGs over the years. I have probably played too many of those! But if you've watched Callasmar's playthrough, I think you can see how many choices you have in the game, the strategy, the tactics, the planning, and just everything that happens within the dungeon. I've often said that Dungeon Crusade is almost like a thinking man's dungeon crawl game, for lack of a better term. Lastly, I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has covered the game. Daniel from his excellent channel The Dungeon Dive, Rob Oren from Rob's Tabletop World and so many others. I will always be eternally grateful to them. But with Callasmar, he really took the time to showcase the game in such a glorious way. He's such a great guy, he's genuine, and you can hear the excitement in his voice. Even though we only see truly about 3 to 4% of the game, I'm so happy that he did this playthrough because people can now see what the Avalon Adventure board game and Dungeon Crusade has to offer and the experience. I was never out to make the greatest dungeon crawl game of all time; that never crossed my mind. But what I was out to do, and what I stuck to my guns on is giving fellow gamers and people a truly creative and unique fantasy adventure/dungeon crawl game that's in a new direction and that I was incredibly passionate about. I just wanted to give people a new experience to have fun with. And yeah, it's quite epic & grandiose, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Many games have a huge footprint; Twilight Imperium comes to mind. But it was in my design to make it like this. I truly wanted to immerse the player in this game, surrounded by the beautiful art and the whole experience. I actually did, but didn´t like it. It feels very similiar to Dungeon Universalis with pretty much everything being worse. The random Dungeon generation was cool though.

@@callasmar Great to hear, as that is what i think as well. Very cool to hear you will dive into DUN again. Perhaps the random dungeon generator posted on bgg? (i am not the creator, but i did gave the cards a face lift so they look cool with the rest of the game)
