Not sure how much I believe her change of heart. The way she acted in the first two parts didn't painted a very good image of her personality, but there were some signs of a hidden more benevolente nature and troubled past. The Adept is in a very fragile mental state from everything that he done and everything that was done to him and he is a very hostile environment that is almost entirely in her control. It would be very easy for her to mold him into to her tool, even if that isn't her goal. Honesty, I don't think their relationship will ever be very healthy. The princess just have far to much power in this relationship and is very likely that the Adept will end up creating a unhealthy dependency on her. There is a reason that therapists aren't allowed to have that sort of relationship with their patients. While I'm sure this story will have happy ending, I really not sure if I trust her because she is the position to do the very same thing she acused Adept of: fixing people into to her own liking. Now, the true question is: Does she truly want him to became his best self or the self that suit her needs ? Only Shiaides know the answer...

For what it matter, she does sound genuine. Then again so do the best manipulators. Hopefully she is just what she make herself sounds like in this part: a troubled girl forced to grow up too quickly and that far too much weight on her shoulders. If she is truly like that, then maybe it will all work out... or not.

If she was truly trying to change the first two parts make her an unreliable narrator and despite the "historical" evidence of her slightly telling the truth. It doesnt mean she changed from her mothers ways. I'd like a happy ending but mostly for adept, she isnt trustworthy

I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty easy to get lost in it. Until you remember it's a forced engagement, and he's essentially a puppet - you could write a really cunning fanfic whereby Adept is just trying to 'play the game'. And alot of Seia's words and inflections could be seen as masterfully manipulative - from a certain point of view.

It's great to finally get to listen to another audio in this series. I think it has to be the one I enjoy most and I feel I'm not alone in that statement. I think it's largely the the whirlwind of emotions that each character is going through, how they are all interconnected with each other and the way it is written so that the listener can understand the reasons and emotions behind the actions of all of the characters. I certainty loved this installment and I can't wait for another. Keep it up!

Feel like some people going by comments I read miss out that while Adept did show signs of some sort of budding feelings for Seia and is growing better. That is the very reason he is pushing people away, there was the very thing that caused a pushback. Adept isn’t just going to undo years worth of lies and misinformation that warped his worldview completely by just having emotions. If anything it’s probably moreso he’s trying to keep them in check, they got him into this mess to begin with. It’s likely he doesn’t want to just be some foolish idiot who falls prey to his feelings again. While its good he is trying to grow, his sister being safe is another burden and chance for him to heal. However, only when he can balance his feelings and his duty will he grow comfortable.

About an hour and 17 or so minutes in and I must say the wait was worth every second (as it always is with content on this channel). Although I have to admit that this vid definitely struck a more personal chord with me; namely with some of the dilemmas Adept might be going through. Now while I can't say that my parents died, I had an evil stepmother (my parents were/are good despite their many failings), or started a war over a misunderstanding of perceived love I can relate to the idea of coming from a messy family and trying to grasp a love from others that wasn't really there...a fantasy in other words that those people could not and would not live up to no matter how badly I wanted them to. So needless to say, I definitely teared up a bit (which is surprising cause I rarely ever do), but like Adept I'm glad I've been given the chance to grow and thankfully in my case I've learned to grow by coming to terms with my life, thoughts, decisions, progress over the years, etc. Anywho, thanks for the vid and granting an opportunity (however unintentional) to confront a hard part of my life. Though it hurt a bit, it makes me smile and thank God to see how far I've come. Anywho overdramatic Ted talk over. Thank you for the awesome content as always 👍.

I honestly didn't expect to enjoy Seia as much as her sisters; the first impression left a sour taste in my mouth (and the fact hers was the first series I clicked, and thus had no context on my role as listener). I think after this episode though, the accountability and apology for her earlier treatment and getting a deeper look at her character, she might be my favorite 😂 (probably helps that the 'unwanted/reluctant arranged marriage becomes genuinely loving relationship' trope is a favorite of mine)

Seia’s a very divisive character and definitely the first impression did leave a terrible mark on their relationship. So it’s totally understandable haha, Adept would’ve been left with a sour taste in his mouth too. Ok. I just finished listening to these up to this part. I do have to be honest and just say that the dynamic between these characters is, so far, very unhealthy. This just some constructive criticism on my part. First, my understanding is that these two are getting married for political and practical reasons, like protecting the listener character, but I don't see why there wouldn't be other ways to achieve that. There are plenty of legally binding agreements that could be reached to protect this character, which make the marriage seem unnecessary. Why use the most intrusive and personal of those options to do this, especially given these two's highly antagonistic relationship so far? Second: After trying to repair the damage after her early anger and vengefulness, this character, Seia, goes on to reveal that she has been concealing the listener character's sister for months. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but if there's some sort of danger to her, why is it any less dangerous to reveal her now, than at any point before? Also, Seia's reasoning, that she didn't want to stress the listener out further due to Anissa's condition, doesn't really make sense, considering that for most people, not knowing the fate of a loved one is often much worse than knowing that they're dead or dying. In this case, the listener would at leasr have the benefit of knowing that Anissa is safe and being looked after. Third: Both of these characters are traumatised by their histories of being abused and doing terrible things as a result, yet they're being forced into extremely stressful political roles, and a marriage. Needless to say, they really shouldn't be. They should be in therapy, which might actually be a more compelling story as well. If, for example, the two met while both had stepped back from their royal duties to get treatment, and started out being bitter with each other over the war, but came to empathise with each other, eventually fallen for each other, and then decide to marry. No deception or lying necessary. It's also tragically rare to see male characters in particular going through an actually healthy healing process, especially when it comes to mental health and personal trauma. In all, I think that, if nothing else, you've missed out on opportunities to create a much healthier depiction of an enemies to lovers scenario. It's a shame because the world it's set in is quite good, but I have to give this series a miss. Sorry.

I love these series'. You have a beautiful voice and you use it very well. I love the story's and the writing as well as the world you have created. I especially enjoyed the perspective of the listener on this specific role. I haven't heard/read many stories where the listener/reader was in a position where they believe they were doing the right thing, but as the series goes on they receive more knowledge and begin to realize their actions weren't as right as they thought. They slowly realize they were the cause for many difficulties and unnecessary misery. After the understanding dawns on them they begin to adjust their perceptions to become a better person and strive to make right the wrongs they caused. The true virtue of man is the ability to adapt and progress towards a better future. I also appreciated the perspective of Princess Seia and how she recognizes the struggles Adept is going through as similar to her own, and is there to help guide him to down the path to a better future. I can't wait for the next part of this story and I wish you the best with your writings in the future!

It is still possible that Adept could return to power even without the help of the nobles in Penkos. Most people would much rather be ruled by the true heir who is one of them rather than the royal family of another nation, or who are not of royal blood. This could be seen when Napoleon invaded Spain and deposed the royal family. Though life was much more difficult under the royal family compared to life under the rule of Napoleon, many people in Spain fought against the French as they would rather be govern by the Spanish royal family instead of the French.

Oh my god, you guys are not seeing it. Leo won the war and forced Adept to marry his enemy. And just because Seia started showing some kind of kindness to him, now we ship them like what? Look at it from Adept's perspective: he just lost his brother and sister in the war that he fought for because he thought Theina was forced to marry Leo, and then he lost the person he loved the most. But hey, I guess your guys wishes have come true because the Stockholm syndrome is kicking in from the look of the description.

Man this is a long one hopefully they won't be this long again, definitely felt whiplash with how we went from adept dancing twice with her indicating courtship to he's distant and moody like he got's bipolar disorder i get the whole backstory but still it's jarring, but certainly discussing each others pasts and acknowledging their wrongs are the first step to overcoming them although i figured we got a sense of that when he apologized in the previous part. But the Empire of Penkos and Kingdom of Clarius is oddly progressive for a Theocratic Feudal Absolute Monarchy and a Tribal Feudal Absolute Monarchy with a Compulsory Education, Free School Meals, some Feminism, Quality Healthcare (not free though so America) and Quality Orphanages seems like the Church and Aristocracy would view such things as a threat to their power and wasting resources on the Peasants when all they need do is obey their Lord and worship their faith as well as out their family members and neighbors for Heresy so they can be stoned to death or burned to the stake and Women make babies and obey their husbands. A Educated public would recognize how broken everything is and you'll have Revolutions erupt establishing Republics or Constitutional Monarchies especially considering how broken everything is already, the Kingdom of Clarius should be a Republic considering its known the Tribal Aristocracy is conning the populace and contributing to the existing food shortages not to mention the chaos caused by them and the war, then theirs the anger that must exist for the Royals and Aristocracy having made them fight for their power and personal desires of the King and the humiliation of a Foreign Nation occupying your country.
