Love your commentary from 0:00-3:38, content creation can definitely feel like walking a razor’s edge between intent sometimes; “is this for me” or “is this for them?” As noted, social media algorithms are far from conducive to creativity and can easily influence that original intention-the struggles of rewarding volume/frequency over care/quality! Especially difficult when the numbers can feel inherently conflated with self-worth. Your shoutouts to combat burnout and spark inspiration from 9:07-9:20 are wonderful ideas, localizing your intent and yielding positive feedback IRL definitely feels just as great-and very likely greater than the digital numbers do! Glad to see you posting again Laura, you make dope things!! Keep it up 🙌🏼🔥

I’m always happy to see a video from you! Your Liberty fabric bags are so beautiful! I’m being gentle with myself, I knit if I’m into it otherwise I enjoy a good book or other craft - it was super hot so knitting on a sweater or other big (laying on my lap) project was not great. I’m looking forward to some cooler weather. I have a couple sock WIPs, a sweater WIP that I want to get done by October. And then on a whim I decided to cast on a Half+Half striped wrap with random stash that went well together. I still have hopes to make one more sweater this year yet, if the mood strikes. Glad to hear from you, and I agree its super easy to feel discouraged, and social media is a mental game that is never meant to be *won*, its not able to be. Sometimes we need to detox a bit and hit the brakes.I havent been working on anything but spinning on my e-spinner because i have been ill for the last six months. But things are getting a little better so I hope to cast on for the JojifalKAL tomorrow for a Timeless Henley I may or may not finish :D

Who the heck are you??? LOL Thank goodness you are back! You have been missed! Love those socks, the honeycomb looks cool in the turquoise and white. When you started the Halibut sweater I bought the pattern on your recommendation and you are farther ahead on it than I am! lol I haven't even started it! Have you heard of Pigeon Coop Designs ? It's a cross stitch pattern business out of Ottawa. They have some cool designs I think you might like. Too bad you aren't going back home in November I will be traveling that way to see our daughter in Petawawa, would have loved to meet you while you were back home!
