A Look At A Panasonic M7 VHS Camcorder

3:23 I know i may be six months late with this but that adapter is for charging the battery by connecting it to the power unit. I got this camcorder for like 20$ on Tradera (swedish ebay) for over 3 years ago with the case and most of the accesories exept the car adapter, microphone with the extension cable. I really like this camcorder and it is not as heavy and clumsy as my former Hitachi camcorder from 85 but that is because the m7 camcorders are from the late 80s. This was one of the best retro buy i've ever made since camcorder in almost new and scratch free condition usually go between £50-100 on auction. You did a very good choice buying the cam.

Ive managed to get one for £10 And everything seems to work. But i cant seem to get the camera to shows anything from the lens. Do you know to to fix this issue?

Why my viewfinder is flickering up and down? But when it has been on a little while, it becomes normal. I think it has to warm up a little. What do you think/know about it? (I tried a cleaning cassette, and its not any better).

Have you been successful in locating a replacement battery without having it shipped from the US? I'd like to get one and use it out and about without having to rely on AC.

Hi I have a question. If you have a new working battery in the recorder and then turn on the adapter does the red charge light stay on? I am trying to determine if the issue is a dead battery or if my AC adapter is broken. Currently, when I have the dead battery in the recorder, I turn on the adapter and the charge light turns on and then quickly off just like yours did in your video. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

I'm not too sure sorry. I would imagine that the light would stay on if the battery was working correctly.

My AC adaptor doesn't charge and there is no image on the viewfinder. Could anyone help me ?

After months I found out, that this was bad choose. M5, the precedensor was producing much better picture having bigger sensor and better lens. Also Hitachi V600 was available in Poland. It had CMOS sensor having much more sensitivity and full size header drum giving stable pictures.

hey mate bit late to this but if you were to buy this camera with one original owner and all parts working except the battery , how much would this be worth? i’m looking at buying one for $200.

Hi, it's honestly quite difficult to say. I've seen fully working ones sell from anywhere between £100 and £500. There's always a risk of something going wrong with an item this old, so as long as you're aware of that, $200 seems to be a fair price.

@@TavHD 1 camera seems to be working but none of the batteries will charge. And the other camera contains a cassette inside but it won't eject and all the lights remain on, including the 'standby' light on the camera. Any help?
