Bro, I have literally no clue how this found its way into my google feed, but it did. I haven't seen this movie in easily 15 years, but goddamn was this a fascinating video.

Just a good look into Canadian film making and the issues. It hasn't changed. When I was in art school just over a decade ago I was told that in order to be a successful Canadian artist, you should go get famous in another country first. Only then would the Canadian art scene take you seriously.

Oh man, I LOVE Cube, the sequels are a bit hit and miss, but interesting still. Cube is Astronomical!

It is fun to hear when movies are the product of passion and drive and that they overcame a great struggle to be made.

Learning about the production of 'Cube' from this video made me more forgiving of some of the limitations of the movie. Yes, it's a great concept and the script does make some very good use of that concept, but it is lacking in 'polish' in several ways. So, definitely revising my opinion upwards now.

I was pleasantly surprised to watch Cube again and see it still holds up as a good sci-fi thriller. Too bad about it's sequels though. Although I thought Cube Zero had an almost "so bad it's good" thing going for it.

I somehow ran across this movie on satellite tv a few years ago and it was a good watch. I'm no film critic but if you can keep me entertained and not wondering wtf about your plotholes then you have done your job.

Alright... I found the short movie _Elevated_ and will be watching that after this! And then, of course, going to sfdebris.com to watch the review of Cube! ;) Pro Tip: It's on KZbin. It's a French subtitled version. The video title is "Court-Métrage Horreur en VOST FR - ELEVATED de Vincenzo Natali" I don't post URLs in comments. (Many channels don't like it.)

It would be more like the coenobites show up and be all, "We have such sights to show-oh god, you work in the Canadian film industry? Never mind man, nothing we could inflict on you could ever match that. Can we get you anything?"

Ok mature reasoned response here. If you don't like that skip it. I enjoyed the Cube movie. I enjoyed the sequel. I enjoyed the prequel. I love that it is a homegrown Canadian production. The concepts are interesting. The byplay of the people trapped in there are effective and compelling. The mystery and sense of doom is palpable. Simple effects that totally immerse you in the situation are very cool IMO. I don't know about high art. I don't know that it should be compared, ranked and listed in some ranking of film gold creations that will be remembered centuries hence. I do know that I thoroughly enjoyed the film and that heart and vision do beat just throwing $ at a film to make good stories. Not saying both can't/isn't best or better. But for a small independent film production they succeed in making a good possibly great movie. Kudos. Heartwarming story of an underdog winning through in the end. Yes I'd be happy to have all 3 films in my personal library. I'm very picky about what I'll she'll out for so that's high praise from me. This being my views. If you like the genre and haven't watched it I'd like to recommend watching it. Yes warning the films get graphic with the violence. This is a death trap and it's neither pleasant nor pretty or peaceful way to go.

I would have simple never left the first room and then fingered everything out from there. As you have all the information available to you from room one. I also would have gest that do to the difficult of moving around the maze the a room close to the start had to be the exist. Lastly i would have gotten that the numbers in the room were XYZ access. Then sound would gave away the rooms moving. I like this movie because i am autistic and love puzzles like this
