They took tuna can motors to the next level. (And the newer ones are tuna squares of course) Also the motor quit because the "Blue Plug" has a fuse in it which popped.

Wow bro you killed that motor quick Lasko is not the same Lakso they was back in the 40s 50s 60s 70s 80s Only. they have changed they have gotten sloppy and they don't care about the product or you. the customer which is sad. but it is what is is that seems to be the on going thing with a lot of these garbage fan manufactures out of China which is really sad I wish they would bring back MADE IN THE USA really do miss that a lot I enjoyed the video

It's sad because it's only getting worse as the days go on. Even the weather-shields are not as strong as they used to be in terms of performance.

@@Fanscarsetc I agree and its so sad how they got rid of the air king line up the 9212, 92114, 9218 and 9220 all discontinued and they stared getting sloppy with build qualify with the blade being out of balanced and the motor although being ball bearing not the best it has cheap ball bearing in them. but at the same time we keep buying their garbage which is why it will never get better we are sending them the wrong message that we don't care how its made as long as it works but the we should boycott all Chinese made fans altogether so they get the right message and wake up and starting making them right and over here again in the USA. but of course we all know that's never going to happen. sad bro and it's everything being made today not just fans .

@@LemontHillI do plan on looking for a used Weather-shield or Airking 9723 box fan. My plan was to use the 1.1 amp motor from one of those fans and put it in my weather-shield so it runs like the older weather-shields. The weather-shields have stayed relatively the same in terms of build quality, just the motors are weaker on high speed.
