I bought one recently. Awesome stuff for damn cheap price. Adjust the amount to feed on the dispenser outlet. Most appropriate amount dispense, adjust to 2nd level. I feed on the 12hrs rotation option.

Manually operating it does not change the preset time. The feeder can be preset to the time - when u put on the batteries or when u toggle 12h/24h. Only problem is the erratic feeding amount. I put a tape inside to close half the opening to control over feeding. One more thing is the battery compartment is a bit tough to open.

How long will we replace the batteries? It has no information about the consumption so I can't even calculate the duration base on 2 AA Batteries capacity. Thanks a lot!

I have a fish tank, I bought this and only starts to use it after 3 years.. and I still can't figure out where it is doing the first feeding?? I guess the noisy gearbox has its purposes -- vibrates so the food follows the container way out easier

Hello, sorry for bothering but I have a question. I have this feeder since a couple of weeks and I cannot figure out how to set the time of the feeding. I guess it is somehow regulated by the moment I put the batteries in, however I can't understand it and nothing about it is written on the manual. Maybe you can help out?

It has a switch on the back that chooses between 12 or 24 hour feeding. The timing cycle is started as soon as you switch the unit on. There's no specific way to select specific times other than by switching it on at what I presume would be the desired time and maybe doing the first feed with the manual button.

bigclivedotcom Thanks for the quick reply. It looks quite complicated. For instance I put batteries in this morning at 7am, now here is 8.00pm and did not move yet (switch is on 24h, so maybe it will move this night). Is there a clock inside? If so, does it have its own battery?

Yep. Just put the batteries in and after 12 or 24 hours it will make its job. They should write it in the instructions.

I just want to drop 4 little pellets per meal for my Betta fish. Would this device drop the correct amount?

I have had the same question about the timing, so I have it sitting on a bowl and am watching for it to turn. I put it on 12 hours so I won't have to be awake all night. I'll let you know the results later.

Kea Alb The simplest version seems to start timing from the point it is switched on and cycles every 12 or 24 hours.
