A Look At The "Miramare Resort And Spa" - A Stay In Agios Nikolaos, Crete

Where to stay in Agios Nikolaos on the Greek Island of Crete, we have a look at the Miramare Hotel And Spa.

The hotel is set on a hill with great views of Mirabello Bay, Crete and it is about a 10-minute walk into the town of Agios Nikolaos.
Our room was a basic room and although not that exciting it was clean and had a balcony with sea views, also it was very reasonably priced. We stayed for one week bed and breakfast although they do an ‘all-inclusive’ package.
Although our room was basic some rooms have their own little pools. The public areas were very nice and the bar had a great terrace with sunset views over the bay in the evening, the bar staff were good too.
There were 3 guest pools in total the smallest being the one you can see from our balcony in the video. The other two were much bigger with pool bars and plenty of sunbeds.
The only food we had in the Miramare was the breakfast which was fine.
As mentioned, although the rooms were not that exciting, the public areas were nice and so were the pools, the views were fantastic and the hotel’s location is very good. We would stay there again.
We booked the Miramare Resort & Spa independently but it can be booked as part of a package with a number of travel companies including TUI and Jet2.

Great insight into the resort , stayed there a few years ago , lovely hotel and island we had a great time , I have a vlog on my channel of our ten day stay showing various locations we visited, really looking forward to being able to travel again when the new normal is more widely known .

Thank you for sharing, we are looking to stay here in October and it looks perfect! Can I ask… what is driving like around this area? We are from the UK and not super confident driving on the other side of the road - we’ve driven in Santorini but that’s it. Thanks

It wasn't that busy but I would recommend using Google Maps to get to the hotel. The rest of the island was fine and the road from the airport was a main dual carriageway type road.
