@@DoubleT847 mbadi was already THREE ranks above colonel. he was a major general and is now a Lt general but serving outside the service in a civilian role .at the moment he gets to keep that rank because of a presidential decision and he is unlikely to go back to the Kenya Airforce. history shows once one takes a civilian role he will be retired once his mission is done in that role. HE will not be going back to the air force. remember it is standard practice anyone serving and running a service and reporting direct to the president is expected to be at least the rank of 1 STAR general and above.an EXAMPLE brigadier ALI was taken from army to run the police force.He had to be promoted to major general.

If some one ever say president Uhuru Kenyatta is a lame president. They are so wrong his a visionary people made noise he got Reid of Sonko though they where friends cause he was nothing but a loose mouth and show off could not be trusted, and did his job performance poorly...Uhuru then got some one who was disciplined who could follow his vision. Then he realized there was another under mariner...he left that camp and got into a deal with" THUNDER BOLT AKA BABA "Cause he realized the other camp was power hungry and would do anything to get to the presidency ,even it meant creating war in the country, HAND SHAKE WAS BORN and peace prevailed. TBH the universal health care didn't live up to its expectation. There was alot of corruption because of the chain of procurement(Prices were inflated and governors didn't want to pay health workers). The governors and people in government have squandered all the monies. That's why they were alot of strikes in the previous years. Uhuru saw a gap in Nairobi after Sonko's impeachment and that's why he used this opportunity to start reforming Nairobi's health care system. I don't think we will ever see something like NMS again once its tenure is over. Unless governors stop being corrupt, that's when you will find free services in level 2 and 3 hospitals across the country.

I think Nairobi had to hit rock bottom with the likes of Sonko, the city literally went to the dust bin and it was an embarrassment to the government. Uhuye had to do something, is this the legacy he wants to leave behind? It maybe a late gesture but for the people in these informal settlements who never get anything for free, this is God send, it’s better late than never. I just hope this projects are sustainable and continue to help the community.
