Dunno about other armies but in the British Army in late 80s/early 90s in Germany we just used to paint our vehicles by hand, olive drab and black paint. They were mostly pretty old vehicles so they had about 1cm of paint on them lol. But actually the newer Landrover Defenders had what looked like a sprayed on black/green pattern.

what model blouse is that gray one because i have one just like it
@heimdalshorn
@heimdalshorn 3 жыл бұрын
..it is not "gray", it is washed out. This is the "Feldbluse" (fieldblouse) of the "Feldanzug, oliv" (Field-Uniform, olive) made of "Moleskin"-fabrik and used as standard working and combat uniform from the mid 60´s to the early 1990´s (being replaced from 1990 on by the "Feldanzug, 5-Farben-Tarndruck" (Field-Uniform, 5-colour-camouflage-print aka "Flecktarn"). The Feldanzug, oliv had a dark oliv colour with some gray in it (so called "Steingrau-Olive" - stone-gray-olive) which turned (as a common thing) into this shades of grayish tone after longterm usage and intense washing, especially the early model of this uniform, the later model holds the colour better. The model shown in this video is the earlier typ (issued till the early 80´s), it is made of a heavier fabrik than the later typ and the later typ from the early 80´s up to the early 90´s did also no longer had the "loops" at the front and slightly different pockets. In 1985 I was issued this (then new type) later model when I started my service with the half-year basic training in the 1.Gebirgsdivision (mountain division) and after that doing my active service in the 1.Luftlandedivision (airborn divison).

Several Warsaw Treaty Organisation nations used variants of it, the Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia and the Bulgarians all used something of it. The DDR and Bulgarians holding out longest, the early Czecky pattern looking the best and being best made. The Poland used it first, soon changing patterns when the DDR started to use it in the mid Sixties or so... odd that.
