A Look at the Rueben Ingold Park in View Park
In the unincorporated neighborhood of View Park, you’ll find this pristine and peaceful walking trail on a steep edge of the neighborhood.
This park is a namesake for Rueben Ingold, the former president of the Los Angeles Investment Company. Ingold, who rose through the investment company ranks, from title clerk to president, is known for developing the View Park and Ladera neighborhoods--formerly barren land, into the beautiful homes that we see today. In fact, before this area was developed, part of it was used as the hosting site of the1932 Olympic Village.
The park, which was built in 1972, was originally named Mt. Vernon Parkway, but former supervisor Kennth Hahn and the Los Angeles County board of supervisors rededicated the park in Ingold’s honor in 1978.

My sister and I would walk there in 70's n 80's we live down the street Overhill/Northridge I went to Windsor hills Elementary right next to the park. I grew up in that neighborhood. Good ole days.😁😁😁💜

I've passed by lots of times on my way to Kenneth Hanns park i'll have to stop by sooner or later

Me and my girl was just smoking there after a uber eats delivery film production was at a house on the corner was my first time there a couple weeks ago

There’s also a church (Park Hills Community RCA) on Overdale drive (a couple of minutes away from this church that has a fellowship hall named after Mr. Ingold. My Pastor briefly acted as their senior pastor, and during this time, I was told that Mr. Ingold donated/funded the building of that hall. It’s a historic church that was formerly all white, then became a predominantly black church after white flight from the area. The congregation is mostly made up of a few baby boomers and attendance is very low as they’ve struggle to change with the world around them.

My family used to go there when I was a kid also we used to ride our bikes on Saturdays on the side of the church next to Windsor hills Elementary because they had a lil hill to jump n go down. Ahhh the memories. I went to Windsor Hills Elementary also 73-78
