A Look at the Secondary Train Derailment Site and Cleanup Progress at Iron City Alabama

Today we take a look at the secondary train derailment site a little further east of the main site we saw Thursday. As you can see it is mostly containers full of garbage from New Jersey headed for a landfill somewhere west and some reefer cars. This area is extremely remote making access difficult. It’s not far from the Pinhoti Trail head. Next we see the work being done at the primary site. New track being put down and the cars dragged out of the way. And finally a look at the staging area at Pinhoti Trail. On Thursday this area was jammed with trucks and bulldozers.
