A Look at Williams Pinball Volume 8! - EarthShaker, Banzai Run, Black Knight 2000

Volume 7 on Steam is a bundle, which means you can buy the bundle or the tables seperately... In a pack you can't buy the tables seperately. I have no clue though, why only Volume 7 is a bundle.

I double checked and you're right, Volume 7 is a table pack on Steam. The weird thing is if you go to the Pinball FX store page on Steam, it's not listed as one of the DLC packs, but it does show up if you search Steam for it specifically. I think it's because it's set up as a Bundle containing the 3 individual Table DLCs whereas everything else is actually DLC.

@@CrowContinuum This is because each table in volume 7 was released individually. And once they had 3 original Williams tables, that's when they bundled them as a volume 7. The remaining licensed tables, with the exception of Universal Monsters are all still individual releases, as they are more expensive due to licensing fees.

Black Knight 2000 came out at an extraordinary time in my life. Yes, these authentic tables are fun games to play today. But they are also huge nostalgia triggers. I’m just flooded with wonderful emotions. Thanks.

I'm fixated on one table on this pack because Black Knight 2000 was one of the tables that crushed my spirits as a child and convinced me to stick to Street Fighter 2 and now I have a 35 year old grudge to settle with the Black Knight and a chance to play it again.

Banzai run wasnt released in 1998 but in 1988 btw. It was Pat Lawlors first design.

I like learning the tables at home and then taking that to the real thing. It works. I played Earthquaker at Garcade in Menominee Falls, WI but I didn't understand it yet.

Really happy to see Banzai Run digitized again after a really short run on Farsight's Pinball Arcade, especially since the original machine is pretty hard to come across. I've been lucky enough to play the physical table, which is an absolute blast in-person and IMO a bit more reasonable. (Backglass portion is still insanely fast, though) Also happy that my favorite pin of all time is back- can't wait to get absolutely dunked by the Black Knight once again!

Once they release volume 9 (presumably next year), they can bundle all 3 volumes released for Pinball FX (2023) as a Williams Pinball Collection 3.

Williams Volume 7 was in the Starter Bundle on PlayStation. Had 9 tables for $15.

Will any of these come out on VR?? I was a huge fan of Zen Pinball, Pinball FX, and Williams on PS3 but haven't bought a new console since. I've been playing on mobile, which is fun, but not nearly as amazing as shooting steel in VR!! Has anyone else experienced playing VR pinball?? I am addicted!

Well... That could be possible... even Farsight Studios had a Stern license. But I don't know if anything like that would happen anytime soon.

@@Railoffroader2 I think Gottlieb tables are a harder sell digitally. The SS machines are overall less well-known and liked than Bally/Williams and can be a bit awkward. EMs in general are just less attractive to the general public and can feel even more frustrating to get some proper playtime on than the solid state tables.

It looks like you got these tables a day early? I'm not a fan of Black Knight 2000 and hate the music Wish something new was released that wasn't on TPA. Wish they would have released Pinbot or Black Knight rather than 2000, which I didn't like on TPA with.

@@pinballwiz45b Unless you're VPinWorkshop I guess - 15 tables this year, 10 of them either Bally or Williams (yes, I know they don't have licensing to deal with). BTW, FX3's first 4 Williams packs were released within 8 months, 12 tables in all.

Honestly, I kind of lost excitement for these tables when the latest Pinball FX released and they decided to not transfer purchases from previous Versions to the latest. And I already had all the Williams packs from Pinball FX 3 on both PS4 and Steam.😩
