The main difference here, is the culture and language. Xiening will be far more comfortable now with her singing, practising , socialising etc, the list goes on. Bon Bon Girls is far more a natural group for her to be in. However, we all know management can be bad anywhere, if they don't give her lines or a role where she can shine then she will be overshadowed by the other members.

Yiyang was apparently rigged out [note: found this on Weibo, I’m just translating] cuz Yifan’s (final 7th place) company used TF Boys (popular boyband in China) as leverage and let Tencent have the sole broadcasting rights to their anniversary concert. Because of this they were going to sacrifice either Xiening, Yiyang or Chen Zhuoxuan to put her in. Fans posted screenshots of the voting data and Yiyang was ahead of Yifan with ginormous voting differences on all platforms so it didn’t make sense. Also on the finale, Yiyang was announced that she went up mid episode meaning she’s in top 7 at that point and happily looked at Tao but he dodged her gaze and at that point she knew she won’t make it and for the rest of the episode she’s noticeably very down compared to usual 😭😭😭 personal opinion: I’m angry that Yiyang didn’t get in but I also don’t think Yifan deserves all the hate she’s getting. Her company is the one to blame 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Her journey reminds me of Kong Xue'er from QCYN, always on the edge but safe and never out of the "group ranking." Also like KXE, she was under a lot of stress to make it in the group and it affected her mentally. Best dancer since the very first stage! The first official performance was very influential like she really stands out a lot. The second official performance was a very different feel from the first performance and I still remember how she didn't fight for the center position since she thinks that jiangjiang is more suitable. It says a lot about her character! And the 3rd official performance was really my favourite, energy level was really really high!!! and similar as the first performance, they divided the parts well although she was the center so it was really not a one man show afterall. everyone complements each other. I really like the final performance "it's a bomb"'s concept and who says she cannot really sing? I feel she has a great vocal!! Her personal dance was slay as well like the cutting point was so on time. I am sure she will do very well in the future under YTSN303 and I am sure everyone thinks the same way and I look forward!!!

Her position is a dancer, but she fell on her butt in the first episode and forgot her dance moves in the individual evaluation for theme song. She can sing fine, but not well enough to be centre. Neither can she rap well enough to be centre. Look at the difference in her number of votes and Curley's. We, Chinese, only let true talents be C.
