A Look Back At: THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME

Stars Lesli Margherita (Esmeralda) and John McGinty (Quasimodo) as they share some of their experiences from working here in 2016 on the season's final show, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which became a Broadway At Music Circus audience favorite. Directed by Glenn Casale, it was the Northern California premiere of this daring new musical. In addition to a cast of Broadway veterans, our production featured a 19-member choir consisting of faculty, students and alumni from the Sacramento State University Opera Theatre program, along with members of Sacramento area choral groups.

It was such a privilege to see this show at Music Circus. It was honestly one of the best performances I have EVER seen! Pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in he house after Out There and the finale. The only thing that makes me sad is that nearly 4years later I've forgotten details. This video reminded me of some. But some things I'll NEVER forget.

WOW! I did not expect to break down in tears watching this but here I am! I'm one of those people who will forever refer to this show as one of my favorites ever. So wonderful to hear the actors felt the same way. I caught it so late in the run there wasn't a chance to see it a 2nd time but I immediately wanted to and almost drove to LA to do so. Thanks for posting this memory!

This was by far my favorite Music Circus production. I hope that you do it again in the future! Even the clips of the show bring me to tears. McGinty's performance was so moving and truly unforgettable.

Do you all happen to have a DVD with the full production. I have heard of the actor John McGinty. I live in Texas. I would love to see the production as I have a special needs adult child and we sometimes use sign language as well. I have seen parts of the one Joshua Castille and EJ Cardona did at the 5th Avenue Theatre.
