Well Jason White actually stepped down from being an official member after being diagnosed with esophagus cancer. He's still touring with them though.

I love the triollogy, i know thats not a popular opinion, but i do. ¡Dos! Is not my fav album by them, its great, but my second least fav album by them. But ¡Tré! And especially ¡Uno! Are awesome, ones of my fav albums by them! Songs like, carpe diem, oh love, Troublemaker, stop when the red lights flash, nightlife, stray heart, 99 revolutions, dirty rotten bastards, brutal love or X-Kid, are some of my favorites, but i love most songs here, underrated albums!

I'm a huuuuge fan and I feel like Uno Dos Tres has a GREAT Green Day album buried in between a lot of songs that werent ready yet. Some of the songs are fully baked and some seemed like they might have burned some of their music without having the lyrics to make them super memorable.

Demolicious with amanda and lazy bones added and makeout party and oh love taken off is an awesome Green Day album
@tastefulsubstanceАй бұрын
I've listened to the full trilogy about hundred times, and depending on the day, I can vibe basically all the songs. Lazy Bones, Stray Heart, Dirty Rotten Bastards, X Kid, Stay The Night, and Let Yourself Go are probably my favorites from the three though

They could have combined all 3 into one good Green Day album without all the filler.

Definitely, but it's hard to say if the songs they would have picked would have made a much better album
@tastefulsubstanceАй бұрын
@Nova-fh2et Honestly, everyone says this, but I almost guarantee that every single person is gonna have a different list they'd prefer. Ofc there's gonna be songs that everyone picks, but these albums, while they all have the same overall vibe, they're diverse enough for each song to click with different people

I hate when people say Jason played the solos on this record despite the fact that Billie plays them all live and you literally see him recording them on cuatro. Jason simply played the rhythm Tracks on the right side of the speaker and a half of the duel solo on The Song lady Cobra.

The Trilogy is great, so much fun. Some of their best songs. And the guitar solos are all very clever and sound amazing

I think the dismissing factor for these is that saviors is better and they're 50, twelve whole years later, i think the trilogy was a lesson is quality over quantity

If the album was cut down to Amanda, lazy bones, sex drugs and violence, stray heart, rusty james, 99 revolutions, baby eyes, missing you, fell for you, angel blue, carpe diem, ashley, stay the night, little boy named train, nuclear family it would make a great album

You were 6 in 2012? I vividly remember this coming out in sophomore year of highschool. 🥲 I love a lot of the songs in this trilogy - but it EASILY could’ve been one 15ish song album. 3 albums was a bit much, love this era of the band though.

I'm the one to say it - Nightlife is one of my favourite Green Day songs. Yes, that's my honest opinion. But it took me almost a decade to get to that opinion. In 2012 Green Day were like gods to me. I loved everything they did and even though I thought of Oh Love as mediocre at best I still really liked Uno back then. Then Dos came out and I was hyped to the moon. Listened to it and most of it was ... kinda okay. Not great, not bad. And then came Nightlife. I got so angry I switched the CD off and didn't listen to it (or Tre, which I preordered) until like 2015. And I still thought that song was dogshit. In early 2021 I stumbled across this cover of Nightlife kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpSti6FmmZyGhLc and it blew my mind. I got to see that there was a really really good song underneath what I thought was a butchered Green Day track. I went back to the original version of Nightlife and it completely blew me away. To this day Nightlife is one of my favourite Green Day songs and easily in my personal top 10 of theirs.

My friends and I got one album each, we were in college at the time. I got stuck with Tre!, unfortunately. I'll die on the hill that Uno! Is great. The other two are boring and crappy, though. The only other story i have about this era was that I was unable to go to a show of theirs in Philly due to food poisoning.

I fall in the camp that believes they Dos is the best of the trilogy. I know most people say that Uno is the best, and I will say, the first 5 songs on the album are absolutely amazing, but after that, the quality just drops for me (Fell for you isn't terrible though, it's actually starting to grow on me.) Dos on the other hand, is banger after banger (except for fuck time), every song has good qualities, yes, even nightlife.

I don’t think the trilogy is amazing but out of the 37 tracks, There is probably 18 or so good songs that would have been a good Green Day album, if you arrange the tracklist Right and weed out the bad songs, Uno, Dos, And Tre could have been amazing Edit: I counted, IMO there are 19 good songs in on the trilogy Uno - Nuclear Family - Stay The Night - Carpe Diem - Let Yourself Go - Kill the DJ - Angel Blue - Oh Love Dos - Stop when the red lights Flash - Lazy Bones - Strat Heart - Baby Eyes - Wow! that’s Loud - Amy Tre - Brutal Love - Missing You - X-Kid - Amanda - D.R.B. - 99 Revolutions

This would've been better if they took all the good songs and just put it on one disc, and if it had a nimrod-style production instead of that stupid really sterile early 2010's pop production. Also I'm only a year older than you and I remember 2012 mostly as me playing LEGO batman and religiously watching Adventure Time and Regular Show.

I’m in such a minority… I LOVED Dirty Rotten Bastards at first and then after a few years it just felt like a trying to recreate Jesus of Suburbia or 21st Century without really taking what made those work as a whole song.
@Deltasquad38294311 ай бұрын
That’s funny because it’s the opposite for me. I’ve loved it since listening to it, and to me it feels different, it is its own vibe apart from Jesus of suburbia or 21st century. Especially at only 6 minutes

I was a massive Green Day fan around the time if dookie I was like 11 wen it came out I immediately got kerplunk an soothed out slappy hours then insomniac came out it was my first cd I ever had all cassettes b4 that then they disappeared an I moved on musically but wen I tell u I was obsessed w green day in the 90’s omg. But once nimrod finally came out I just wasn’t feeling it anymore I don’t listen to any of the new stuff well new to me anything after nimrod or insomniac but once in a while I do throw on dookie or insomniac for nostalgia sake.

I think immature lyrics can be done right, but also I think blink-182 do them better. Because their entire image was built around it, Green Day's wasn't.

I Love The Trilogy, Here Are My Thoughts On The Trilogy On Every Album: ¡UNO! Was My Favorite From The Trilogy, Tracks Like Nuclear Family, Carpe Diem & Troublemaker Was My Favorite From ¡UNO! And Yes I Actually Like Troublemaker Although In My Thoughts People Hate It Cause It Sounds Horrible, But I Actually Like It, And I Also Like Kill The DJ, Also Ignore That Let Yourself Go Was In Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, And A Lot Of People Hate Me Cuz I Put ¡UNO! At No. 4 On My Album Ranking ¡DOS! Was My Least Favorite From The Trilogy, It Was No. 14 A.K.A The Lowest Number On My Album Ranking, But This Might Be Controversial, Fuck Time & Nightlife Is Good, Now I Know Fuck Time Sounds Cringy, But It's Catchy For Some Reason, I Know Nightlife It's Like Not Traditional Sounding Green Day, But It Fucking Slaps ¡TRÉ! Was My 2nd Favorite From The Trilogy, But My 2nd Least Favorite Album From The Green Day Discography, But Tracks Like Dirty Rotten Bastards & X-Kid We're Some Of My Favorites, I Love In The Beginning Of Dirty Rotten Bastards That Billie Joe Does Like The FNAF Music Where The Power Runs Out And Freddy Makes A Sound, But The Forgotten Is Ass, And Just Forget It That It Was In Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Or Part 2 I Don't Fucking Know, I Also Love The Drum Intro In 99 Revolutions Also If We Make The Trilogy Into 1 Album, I Would Make It A 21 Song Album, Split It Into 3 Acts, The Same One Like They Did With 21CB, I Would Make It Like This: Album Title: The Trilogy/The Creativity Trilogy Total Songs: 21 Act I: ¡UNO! 1. Nuclear Family 2. Kill The DJ 3. Oh Love 4. Loss Of Control 5. Let Yourself Go 6. Carpe Diem 7. Troublemaker Act II: ¡DOS! 1. Ashley 2. Fuck Time 3. Wow! That's Loud 4. Lazy Bones 5. Lady Cobra 6. Amy 7. See You Tonight Act III: ¡TRÉ! 1. Brutal Love 2. 8th Avenue Serenade 3. X-Kid 4. Amanda 5. 99 Revolutions 6. Sex, Drugs, & Violence 7. Dirty Rotten Bastards

This project screams midlife crisis all over it. At the time, I couldn't understand why Billie Joe went from writing epic rock operas about social issues, the goverment or his own personal experiences to write about just going crazy at a party the same year he turned 40... It was odd.

The Green Day trilogy records is where they lost me. You could maybe get a decent 3-song 7” out of all 3 albums, if that. My love for the band has been kinda dead ever eince. Imagine being 40-something years old and writing a song called ‘Makeout Party’. So cringe.
@miguelorozco44458 ай бұрын
the trilogy are bad albums with a few good songs, that should be remembered. (Fell for you, Stay the night. Nuclear family, Missing You, 99 revolutions, Drama Queen and Dirty Rotten Bastards) Also State of Shock wasn't included in the albums. Lame, It should have been included.
