Trish’s fairly tale like retirement here will never not be emotional. Arguably the greatest women’s wrestler who came in with no experience or prior indy cred and despite being a former Muscle Mag model didn’t use that and her looks to coast by. She actually wanted to learn and take the time to improve her craft and that she did. Went from being a valet for Test and Albert to being the underdog and eventually capturing the women’s title a record 7 times which was unheard of at the time. Not to mention, 3 time babe of the year, Diva of the decade, and was a mainstream celebrity that everyone around the world recognized. Her 2004-2005 heel run will forever be iconic and it’s still takes about to this day, he’ll just about everything from her run is spoken about because she’s the undisputed goat. There’s a good reason WWE named her to be number 1 on their top 50 greatest modern of all time women wrestlers. We literally saw her grown in front of us and it was such an emotional send off that one of the all time greats at the time was hanging up the boots. Obviously almost 20 years later she came back for another run, but regardless her 2006 retirement will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Trish for always putting entertainment first for the fans, as Jim Ross said; “there was never anyone any better” ❤🐐🫶🏼

Yo! Undoubtedly the BEST Unforgiven event ever. I mean where do we even begin? TLC and Hell in a Cell on the same night, which is impossible nowadays, we got Trish Stratus’s last match at the time, and it was amazing, Carlito Vs Randy Orton was incredible, DX Vs the McMahons was insane, and need we say more about the legendary feud of Edge and John Cena. I swear this night had it all, and for a brand exclusive show, it felt massive, and that’s why Ruthless Aggression will forever be special. Thank you for massive nostalgia of my childhood, Pav. You truly rule!😁🤘

I 100% understand! I got to go in person to Unforgiven 2005. It's the only pay-per-view I've ever been to and even though it wasn't the best of shows, it was still magical to me!!! The thing 05 and 06 have in common is Edge was in the best match of each show. I used to go to live wrestling every week during the territory days, so I've seen hundreds of live matches. That said, the cage match between Edge and Matt Hardy is by far the best bout I've ever watched live. If you haven't seen it in a while, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. It's the 4th match during Unforgiven 2005.

Yup. Was a 10 year old kid getting back to school... Pluto was no longer a planet so that sucked, starting 5th Grade up in Winnipeg watching Raw regularly along with Smackdown. From Carlito and the infamous RKO that night, to Umaga and Kane, the theee matches I remember clearly was DX putting an end to there near year long feud with the McMahon's and Big Show involved. (Fun fact how the eldest daughter to HHH and Stephanie was litterally born during this feud in 2006 and an episode was dedicated to all of them besides HBK being gone.. and that same newborn is now a Senior in High School about to graduate I'd imagine..time. Was a very bloody Hell in the Cell like it was known for and no match currently in the company has the same amount of violence and brutality to it. Trish final mstch as a full time at least back then was a big deal especially to us Canadians haha. Her leaving adter einning the women's title one last time from her biggest rival was truly a highlight back then, funny hoe people usually overlook the fact that both Trish and Lita left the company within the same Year very close to one another similar to how both Rock and Austin left. A Rivalry which many my age remember seeing nearly from the beginning in 2000 to the final confrontation in 2006. And of course, the Match you never competed in, the match I never Lost, TLC in his hometown. It was a match I was nervous since seeing Cena winning a TLC match ahainst Edge didnt seem normal.. was completely behind him but was being realistic and still was in Kayfabe 24/7. That match.. was truly one of the top 100 greatest matches in rhe history of the company and I'm not exaggerating. The build up, Rivalry, atmosphere, stars, action and one of the best finishes as well. Cena finally getting the.. Edge on Edge at least temporarily wss a great feeling when I tuned in the next night on Raw. One PPV from basically.. 17 years ago... my goodness, can get that type of feeling from myself. The fact we had both a Hell in the Cell and TLC match on the same show and night when they weren't yearly attractions really shows just how cool and fun Wrestling overall was wven back then when it was no longer at it's peak. Unforgiven 2006. A fun enjoyable show which I haven't forgotten.
