Thanks for the insightful video. I recently (again) passed through TPE Terminal 1 and found it so ho-hum. There was a severe lack of food choices and the long layout, like T2, meant a lot of walking. Further, the few vending machines for drinks were half empty, but they had a sign saying that if the machine was empty, there were further machines at the (down one level) boarding gates. Apart from the usual overpriced souvenir shops, not much to browse through at all. It also has a (free) rest area on the upper level, next to the airline lounges. Next time I will try China Airlines or EVA and hopefully T2 will be less boring.

Hope T2 will be better for you! I've been at tpe only this one time. I'm sure it has changed since then.

It hosts EVA Air and China Airlines (Taiwanese) , not Chinese Airlines

Are there hotels in there for long stayovers
@theglobalpeasant4 жыл бұрын
There's the airport hotel on the airport grounds and the one I was staying at. Is there anything for, say, a couple hours I didn't see any.

Hi I'm flying from New York City to Taipei and I'm wondering if the arrival and departure terminals are in the same area, because I'd like to shop at the airport before boarding the MRT or bus. Thank you

I haven't been to this airport since well before corona, so things could have changed. It's best to check the airport terminal map for up to date information.

Damnit Covid-19. Traveling by air is very risky during this chaotic time.
