Thank you for your detailed review. Regarding the previous buzzing issue, we have conducted a thorough investigation and taken the necessary corrective actions. It has been confirmed that the issue was caused by insufficient glue on the paper cone, leading to an air leak. After the repair, the new batch of subwoofers has resolved this problem, and the sound quality is now performing well with the buzzing completely gone.☺

About the buzzing.. I would maybe look at the wires that connect the back of the terminals to the voice coil. It sounds like those wires may be touching the back of the woofer cone during incursion. I had the same buzzing on a Micca speaker woofer recently and that was the culprit. Just a guess though :)

Yeah, that's a very good guess. I actually had this happen to one of my 802D2 woofers during shipping so I am very aware of this problem. When I took the 8" driver out the tinsel lead wires looked ok and weren't hitting the spider or back side of the cone that I could tell. IMO this is just a cheap subwoofer and quality is very poor -- think white van special. I didn't troubleshoot what was going on because I wasn't interested in doing so. You would think AIYIMA would have double checked the quality of their product before sending it out to me for review. Guess not. Maybe they thought I would play ball and give them a glowing review like some of the other youtubers just because they gave me this subwoofer for free? Who knows, but on this channel I will always give you my honest opinion on a product, good or bad. Sadly this is just a bad subwoofer that IMO is way too expensive.

Just subscribed. Im always interested in what the woofer looks like in all these theater subs. I built two ported boxes for a pair of JL Audio 13w7 powered with a crown xls2500. It sounds awesome to me. Thank you for showing us what's inside and what we're paying for.

In terms of "best" budget 8-inch subwoofers, you can't go wrong with the Monoprice Premium Select-8.

Re : buzzing - does it do it with driver outside cabinet? Does it do it with a different driver attached? Check input levels on amp? Might be faulty unit of course. Would be interesting to find out the cause.

I didn't do any troubleshooting and honestly I shouldn't have to. You would think the manufacture would double check the quality of the unit they were sending out to a reviewer. All I know is the buzzing sound happened all the time no matter what the source material was.

Which one would you prefer between aiyima polk xt12 and this sony sub?

From those two picks the Polk will have more output. If you're in America and a small footprint subwoofer isn't a deal breaker, then get the Heco Sub30A. At the moment that sub is on sale for $229 and is quite a bit better than both the Sony and Polk. I did a look inside video on the Heco subwoofer and it offers insane value at the current $229 sale price.

For the price you can build one that can out perform it very easily you can pick up a 2.1 3116 plate amplifier for 35$ and a box for about 60$ or less and a 8in car subwoofer in multiple brands easily for under 100$ that will out perform it. You could even get a used 8in woofer off ebay for under 50$ the pick up 2 8in passive radiators wich will sound even better. 💯🫡👍✌️🎶🎵
