Crazy that even with 5000 aviable slots, sim1 is still full. Yesterday's evening it was full with over 400 people in queue. Sim2 had around 1500 players on, it was a nightmare without the speed limits

A lot of people at home during this Christmas and New Year period, sim1 has been daily with 5000 and queue to join, but horrible to play at congested areas. I can't even moderate it to be honest.

why is it some people struggle so damn hard with sticking to the rules? it's not a racetrack, its not a destruction derby, a trucks legal top speed is 80 or 90 km/h depending on the country, dont understand why people drive 110+ km/h in a truck sim game, if you are that impatient then play something else, theres a arcade server just for this kind of driving, yet they flock to the sim server for some damn reason and get impatient and ram players who drive normally according to the rules. i know its somehow not against the rules, but running a red light and blocking roundabouts should at least get you kicked for blocking with very little tolerance. guess to many players and not enough moderators to really keep up so you have to focus on what you consider more important, which i fully understand, dont think i would make a very good moderator as i would take the rules a bit to literal and to direct and apply real world interperation of reckless driving, i would fire off kicks and bans like a gatling gun if i saw people drive and behive like this, overtake in the shoulder? ban for inproper overtake, run a red light? ban for reckless driving, stop in a roundabout? kick or ban for blocking, i would likely be a very shortlived moderator as i would be, in my eyes, falsely accused for abuse of power and issuing inproper bans and kicks. i tried it online and have been lucky it seems to not run into these impatient children.

Most of the rule breaking players are either kids or foreigner. To them, no other game matters. Arcade server is no fun being NCZ. Sim 1 is where the population is, and allows for the most chaos. If someone is doing 60 and i have the distance and room to pass, i'm going to do 110 for an overtake. Those are in game reports. What's seen, is a radius around "The Suspect" (aka, the reported player). If something's happening outside of it, there's no way for the admin to see it without a web report. Just make sure you verify that it's a rulebreak. Otherwise, you might not be an admin after that.

The way the suspects in this video play is outrageous. Honestly, the minor penalties should be increased to 1 month and the major penalties to 3 months, and messages should be flooding reddit communities and discord channels to make people fear the ban time. I think that's the only way to reduce the number of reports is by stopping these arseholes from playing online and preventing other arseholes from joining by using them as an example. In addition, car players should be given a year penalty.

Hey decito! Thanks for the message, actually. People already think 1 week is too much, as it happened in the comments of this video. The reality is that comparing to other games, indeed can be quite long 1 week, but even 1 week it's as we see, pure chaos and so many not caring for the rules because they are going to be unbanned soon anyway, so... In the past TruckersMP had his focus on #RoadToSimulation as they called, which since the past 2 years they no longer pretended it and decided to remove permanent bans from speedhackers, ban evading etc, as well as things got pretty more soft than it were in the past. I believe that it's turning everything more arcade unfortunately, but still with rules? It's weird to explain, but a different perspective should be taken. Cheers.

@@tunatmp thank you so much for replying! This opens a window to communicate with someone who is constantly dealing with moderation and, for that, has a much more experienced vision on this subject. I must say that I commented with a bit of anger in heart and fingers, but my opinion regarding TruckersMP is simply this: either you play as close to the simulation as you can without being a jerk to everybody else or you lose access to the multiplayer mode for a very long time, since I don't agree with perma-bans. I can't really see a way to separate the "simulation maniacs (silly term)" from the "rowdy gang" within the same ecosystem, by server segregation or something, and don't believe it's possible, just like IRL. Common ground is the ideal scenario, IMO. But I feel like the balance is too far toward disorder, and moderation is only human at this point, which makes it almost impossible to not to walk to a point that it will be mostly, if not only, chaos, since no penalties are being applying to a significant number of players. Would you agree?

Hey! Sorry for the late answer, I have been busy. That's the thing, you have one side that wants realism and the other the chaos. I guess a great idea would be the game filtering it. For example, accidents happen and you can be banned, sure. But if you have for example 3 bans in the last 12 months, you would be blacklisted from the main simulation server, despite having access to the secondary servers. So if you are really in terms of trolling, you wouldn't be able to join this server until you only had 2 bans active again or less.

In these areas I don't actually drive a lot, is more for moderating because FPS inside any truck or car are very low with so many people around, while at flying I have more. Time to time I like to explore other parts of the map, since it's huge too. Cheers!

Oh. The rrd it's a shortcut I created. In the past the rules was nammed Ramming so it was Ramming, Reckless Driving which is rrd in short cut. Now the rule is names Collisions, but I didn't change the short cut. Just a way to type faster the rules which helps a lot :)

Não sei sinceramente. Os banimentos por si só já não são curtos, 1 semana e se for o quarto ou quinto banimento vai para 1 mês a 3 meses. Eu acho que deveria haver para situações acidentais ou para quem não tem banimentos, um banimento muito curto e ainda mais longos para quem está sempre a ultrapassar e a perturbar o jogo dos outros.

Overtaking others can't be clearly a kick otherwise you would be doing that since you know it's only a kick. And if you believe that bans are too long and we still have these many players disrespecting the rules, imagine if it was just hours or few days.

Im not the mod but I believe it is harsh and I know for a fact I have broken rules and received a kick due to not following speed rules and cutting corners where it was possible. For the most part I dont like driving 90 when the truck is cabable of driving up to 150-160. We can clearly agree it is not realistic and doesnt follow the simulation part of the game but if ets2 founders wanted that the trucks would have been speed limited to the 80 or 90 km as a max

TruckersMP clearly says in the rules that speeding is fine and you won't be punished for that. It also says that ignoring traffic lights is fine is no one else is around. Now the lengths you see are not random, has a logic that players don't know, it's internal, and overtaking is punished, specially areas with 25+ players where players complain that they can overtakine in that place, but in the rules says they can't.
