Roger thanks so much! It was so much fun to shoot and edit. I'd love to do it again now14 years later. The old engine is still around

My brother and I used to play on that engine when it was on static display in Audubon Park back in the late 50's and 60's. Great to see that it didn't go to the scrapyard.

You may wish to add the tags "railroad" and "railway," as well as, "steam locomotive" to generate the viewers such a work deservers. Although the name is the Louisiana Steam Train Association, "steam train" isn't a common term. Unless someone was specifically looking for LASTA like I was, they wouldn't know about it. I stumbled over it searching for another video. And it is those who don't know of LASTA are the ones who need to see it. Thanks.

Great work. Great editing job. It flows well, is not boring, and is interlaced. Now it is much easier to show people how I spend time on Saturdays. Among our other numerous projects including our State Bicentennial Tour, we are moving our yard. While there are numerous videos of trains, maybe someone can document the building of a rail yard. Maybe time lapse photography? Two operating railroad cranes. Lewis

So that's what happened to the engine that was in Audubon Park. I wondered what had happened to it. Wasn't there also another engine being kept there? A smaller one? Could have been in the 70s or 80s when I saw it.
