Pallet wood furniture made out of nothing but recycled pallets. In this video I'm building a wardrobe, inspired by The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Narnia story. The whole wardrobe is made from nothing but recycled pallets. Even the nails get used.
This piece of pallet wood furniture took about 6 weeks to complete, and used almost every scrap of lumber from the pile of pallets at the beginning of the video.

I see alot of "palette" projects, desks, benches, etc. Usually just a bunch of palette boards glued together and finished. All the intricate detail here hides the fact that it's made from palettes. Had one not known ahead of time, I wouldn't even had figured it was palettes. If this were a contest entry, I bet it would win... awesome build. Magical indeed... something Gandalf would use :)

I don't think people really, truly understand how much damn effort goes into building anything out of pallet wood. I've made a few small things out of them before for my kids and to be blunt - I would never do it ever again just because of how much damn time it takes to get the wood ready to be used. So much effort... it's insane. A video can't do it justice.

I used to work making roofing slate. Because of the weight of the slate the pallets we used were made of oak and maple. Sometimes the boards were a foot wide. They were beautiful to look at just as they were. If the pallet got too damaged by a fork truck they were thrown away. I often tried to think of ways to reuse them but my wood working skills are pretty rudimentary, nothing like this guy. Imagine what he could do with foot wide oak and maple!

I work in manufacturing now and we are always getting huge pieces in on these giant high end pallets. I always look at them with envy. Mostly maple. Good wood. Not the junk of a standard pallet. But they get reused a billion times. Not allowed to take any. 😞

I have always been impressed at how much of an improvement taking the surface off old wood and refinishing it makes, But you took it to a whole new level. You took wood that most people would think was utterly useless and made a masterpiece out of it. This is something truly special.

This is the most phenomenal, inspirational and beautiful thing that I’ve seen in a very long time. The creativity, the skill, the art involved in the entire process, what a joy to watch. You’ve absolutely made my day and you’ve made me think about the fact that things don’t have to be what they seem to be at first glance. Those dingy old pallets, made into this gorgeous piece of artwork... mind blown. I’ve seen many beautiful pieces of reclaimed pallet wood furniture before and admired them but what you’ve done here is really beyond compare. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and the fruits of your labor that you clearly loved creating. Marvelous! 💗

I think one of the best features of this is that the front not only has the intended square pattern, but due to the grain direction change it also adds an almost ghosted diamond pattern.

Unreal. You knocked it out of the park on that. A guy from my home town was a truck driver and collected "trash" pallets, the old ones made from some type of rough cut oak. He made a lathe that could turn 2x2 pieces that he got from the bottom boards into a spiral cut. He then used these for spindles, which he used making the stair case/loft railing in his house. The whole thing is made from pallet oak, banisters, spindles... and it is stunning.
