This was mine. Thanks legend! I'm pretty close to finishing most of my campaign objectives but if Albion did fall in he probably would have gone for ulthuan next and that wouldve forced me to put my main fronts on hold or even pull back. Ill admit the unshabti were a panic recruit lol.

Ushabti are technically high value but since they are a tomb king unit their upkeep is 0 which makes them basically free. Alliance with tomb kings is always useful because of those free upkeep units. (they're a bad pick tho, should have taken a construct, the bow version or even skel archers)

Yeah, bowshabti would probably snipe those mammoths really good. They aren't as numerous as other archers, but every their shot HURTS.

I cannot appreciate lothren sea guard enough for their emergency saving powers, usually 1-turn global, can be locally recruited from ports, decent range, decent missle damage, high leadership, high melee defence, and anti-large. They saved my very first campaign when I was facing a primal glory army very early.

@@user-fu2tx9hp4r I mean it's Warhammer. The setting is all about getting that heroic hero doing hero stuff who's legend grows with every great deed. It's kind of like a role playing game in that aspect. You select your character class then level them up in the trees that you want. But anyway yea the game and the setting lends you to making powerful hero's that could change the course of Warhammer history.

Watching disaster battles makes me want a TWW3 mod that forces all AI factions to recruit Legend's chosen doomstacks after a certain turn. You hit your turn limit and are at war with the vampire counts? Well you're going to come up against a flying Circus of vampire women. Who needs to play on Legendary+Very hard when you can have "Legend-Legendary" 😂

The best unit in the game gets a spotlight! Yes please! I also enjoy the grab bag of allied units plus the Tree Kin, as only an international, multiaccial effort can truly put a stop to the near-perfection that is Your Average Norscan Monstrous Mash (the quarter-Marauder army present was presumably there for the sake of formalities) In all seriousness, I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes out of their way to grab the Ogham Stones every time

I thought Ushabti were constructs until you pointed out they were monstrous undead infantry. Why would you waste money on undead that'll crumble quickly in a non-undead army? Anyway, another amazing video. I probably would've taken the loss or reloaded a save in this situation because mammoths just slaughter normal infantry.

I dealt with something kind of like this in Wh2. Rando elf rebellion faction with 15 dragons with the lord mounted on a dragon too, 16 total. I was shitting my pants with how to deal with this but when I got there auto resolve said Dec Vic, Low Cas. Funny how life works.

New Allied recruitment mechanic, when you become allies with someone you slowly gain points you can use to recruit units from their faction. They can also build outpost garrisons in your cities and vice versa.

Having even one tomb king unit gives you access to the realms of souls. It's their racial ability and excluding this specific army. I have to disagree 2 king units, our amazing Allied units. Sorry using voice type the spelling will be terrible

For me it’s still hard to grasp which one is better, high melee defense or ward safe? I mean who would hold the line better a unit with 90% ward safe or a unit with 100 melee defense?

well both are good, melee defense stops you from getting hit, Ward Save reduces the damage when you 'do' get hit. if the unit is in combat then melee defense is generally better i'd say, if its a spellcaster or a flyer then ward-save is better because you'll have archers plinking away at you constantly.

90% ward save is massively better than 100 melee defense. 100 melee defense will get you to maximum 90% "dodge" chance against most ordinary units, but more elite units can still get significantly higher than 10% hit chance against 100 melee defense. Melee defense is also significantly reduced when attacked from the sides or back as well. 90% ward save will basically always be 90% damage mitigation. There's a good reason that being capable of extremely high ward save is the biggest factor in whether a unit can become a 1-man doom-stack.

Melee defense is awesome, yes, but 100 MD vs 90% Ward Save is not a fair comparison at all. Melee defense gets reduced when you're attacked from the side (to 60%, according to CA) or from behind (to 30%), so a 100 MD hero in a blob is still gonna get hit a fair bit, and no matter the MD you always have a small chance of getting hit (8% minimum, once again according to CA), so a 100 MD hero vs hundreds of infantry is still getting chipped down. Ward Save on the other hand, doesn't get reduced by anything in the game. It works on missiles, melee, magic, fire, everything. That said, 90 Ward Save is fking tough to get, if it's even possible at all, whereas MD is a lot more common. There is no exact 'conversion rate', one just has to learn to judge by context and feel.
