Damn, I have PTSD from Vlad. Playing as Gelt now. Returned to Empire, Vlad is pushing Franz and Elseph so Ib decided to help him while my main army is pushing Norska. Killed two VC armies with my secondary stack but got attacked by Vlad himself. Just he and Isabella are enough to trash my army so I am still thinking how to win (cannot send the battle as I am on Mac now).

Surely, the easy fix for this kind of spam is having an army cap on RoR that can be recruited. Like 4 RoR per army, like allied units. Not a perfect fix, but an easy improvement

Happened to me once when I played Skragg. Had 4 hunters, a Firebelly and a Butcher along with Skragg ganging up on him while dealing with his army. Holy shit. Had to constantly move the hunters and use their spears attack to not get one shot by Skragg.

I think playing with negative income is very based. Its a lot of fun to have as much armies as possible and not waste money on buildings that need a very long time to pay for their construction costs. Its just important to keep the deposit double of what ur losing per turn to avoid desertion. So u have to make a lot of money from fighting and deplomacy
