Contact your local council and ask them to secure it ; risk of fire , vermin and kids getting in there doing damage to themselves and property. The house is right next to a public walkway, not lost and remote in the countryside.

I actually know someone who knows the owner and I've made them aware. The owner is in a care home and the house has been left by her to someone in trust, so they will get it when she passes.

@@lisa_martin79oh that's so sad. I can't help but wonder why her family aren't taking care now to preserve the place, especially the 1000s of photos etc. Thank you for making them aware though, hopefully they can secure the place at the very least. Not all explorers are just there for a look are they? ☹

I don't see the respect as now the location is highly identifiable. Also putting down all those books, technical gear, sailing and navigation gear plus quality clothing as junk is just unjustifiable. The house is extremely small. His last years were very sad being handicapped and having to give up all his interests. Someone has come and thrown his things around , that is very clear. I'd come back and reboard up the window and or phone the local council. You earned ££££ from this.

Hey guys. Another superb explore. As has been already been stated, the Micronta device was an old 22-193 digital multimeter, for measuring resistance (ohms) & AC & DC voltage & current. They were made for Tandy (remember them?) & also marketed in the US under the Radio Shack brand. The vinyl records turntable was a Bang & Olufsen model.

Just goes to show that you should never judge a book by it's cover! This chap was born in the 1930's and was in the Royal Navy for many years receiving long service and good conduct medals. After leaving the Navy he competed in a number of long distance yacht races as Skipper. In one particular race of 13,000 miles he beat the previous recorded time by over 2 days. In later life he settled for boating on smaller and calmer waters and with a friend built a replica of an Edwardian craft. After his death his partner was given the right to live in the house until her death whilst the house was held in trust for his children and grandchildren.

So if you know of the place can you not contact council to get it secured (ie locked up?) It is a flat in a row of others so the fire and health risk (rats etc) is huge for the adjacent residents. Just a telephone call could perhaps save the property and lives. Passive observing is for the internet, not real life.
@adamprice9214
@adamprice9214 3 ай бұрын
@@MsMesem it's not a flat in a row at all it's a detached bungalow on its own plot, passive observation would have been your friend here.. Like I say this place has been empty for years and years, sometimes accessible, sometimes not and this is how it will be. I could call the council but having had dealings with them recently when I was burgled and then soon after a friend, both on cctv (the councils) and both reported to the police and absolutely nothing done and then my car was stolen again council cctv and police involved and again nothing done I'd rather brew a cuppa in a chocolate teapot.. The neighbours I would imagine will keep a close eye on the place (but not that close as they're detached) and do something themselves as has been done in the past or report it to the local council for absolutely nothing to be done. One final big question is why you telling me in a rude way to do something about it?? I'm not the group that entered the property and made this video?? Why aren't you asking them?? And if your here watching this content reading all the comments then if the council ran around securing all abandoned buildings you'd no longer have a pastime would you? I'm sorry but generally the average person boggles my mind 😵‍💫
@MsMesem
@MsMesem 3 ай бұрын
@@adamprice9214 I realised it's not in a row after (I didn't watch the first and last few minutes on first view) but it is still very close to other houses and public walkway.
@MsMesem
@MsMesem 3 ай бұрын
@@adamprice9214 Those that made the video entered the property and are easily identified and do not live in the area. From the responses in the comments it is clear that a few people readily identified the property but ... had no more to add... ie passive. Yes, I have become very short with the passiveness of people I have experienced even in life or death situations or property at high risk when it would be so easy to act . I'm sorry that your council and police are so inactive but seeing as this is a coastal probably very popular town I can understand that they probably have a lot on their plate so even more incentive pour locals to survey situations like this. Also as UK has massive homeless problem. Just seems so weird that a person of this calibre like the bloke who started Calabrian airlines? did not have influential friends who would see that their legacy was not abandoned like this (that guy died at 73 - relatively young. People are found dead in their homes weeks later because ; no one bothered.

That would have been a beautiful home once. Someone was definitely into photography in a big way. I never thought of this before but most of the dust in our homes comes from dead skin cells. I could see all the dust floating around you in the shots with sunlight in the background. I wish you would all wear a mask in these old places. 🤣😷

@adamprice9214 3 ай бұрын
I used to believe this for many years but I'm sure I researched it and it's not entirely true but can't remember 😂 probably more so in a lived in property that was kept relatively clean but not in an abandoned place as dust would accumulate from all sorts of different scenarios.. Masks definitely essential in some circumstances tho 🙂

He was handicapped and could not get around to organise or clean his home so things accumulate. There seems to have been a woman there for a short time who was obviously not very useful. Thats not true about things meaning nothing; normal people treasure items that were their grandparents. So much of those things have a huge amount of meaning; they attest to an interesting life led by an intelligent, adventurous individual.

Oh poo another childhood belief gone down the drain. "The glass-bottomed tankard is said to have originated as a way to avoid being conscripted into the British Navy or Army, but this is likely a myth. The story goes that the British military would slip a "King's Shilling" into a recruit's ale, and that glass-bottomed tankards allowed recruits to check their drinks for the coin before accepting them. However, the Navy could force conscription, making deception unnecessary." Great video very interesting stuff in the home. Did you feel any uncomfortable vibes ? Something not quite right there. Happy first day of autumn. Cool days and soon Halloween 👻👻 Alex sorry about your hand, I hope it heals fast. Keep an eye on it, I got an infection after trying to prune a rose tree that bit me.🙄 Wishing you all a very happy week. love from Great Grand nanny jackie 💖💖🍺🍺🍕🍕
