- Weiss' last name is "Schnee" .. Rhymes with Knee. It means Snow in German. - I prefer the show being the smaller screen, makes your reaction the main feature .. 🙂 - Talk all you want as long as you don't miss out on some of the conversation because you might miss out on something important .. I'm really enjoying your reactions so far. You pay really close attention to what's going on without sitting like a statue, and I'm glad to see someone actually picking up on details that a lot of people miss. In regards to your last upload, too, the characters are all based off of fairytales, legends, historical figures, movie characters, etc. I'm not sure if you want characters' inspirations spoiled for you just yet, but I will say you were right about Joan of Arc. If you guess what different people are based off of you'll start to see patterns. I should also mention, most characters are also named after a color. I think they had a rule for it; it had to mean a color, sound like a color, or remind you of a color.

Thanks for the kind words, I try to make it a point to not just sit for too long and to talk about what I'm thinking at any moment I feel gets too quite for too long (kinda inspired by dev commentary that are usually on movie dvds). Interesting limitation for lack of a better term that the folks behind the show put on themselves with the character naming but I guess for limitation comes a more focus vision for the world they're building. Thanks for the info.

Jaune is every boy's boy, the character most male viewers identify with. He starts getting on my nerves after a few volumes, probably because his voice actor became a fulltime writer for RWBY after Monty passed away.

Three replies to this later: RWBY was always Monty's baby. Miles and Kerry *contributed* from the start, yes. Then Monty passed away, the other two became the 'fulltime' writers, and no one can deny that the storytelling suffered as a result.
