It can be hard to find a good deal on a home in the New York metropolitan area.
In fact, according to Zillow, the median price of homes currently listed in New Jersey is $342,000.
So when a 4,000-square-foot Victorian mansion in Montclair, New Jersey, hit the market in 2017 for just $10, you’d expect buyers to show up at open houses in droves.
Incredibly, it never sold.
Just over a year after the home, known as the Aubrey Lewis House, was listed at the steeply discounted price, it was demolished, according to NJ.com.

The sellers also offered $10,000 to help you get it off. It was said to be $70,000-100,000 to move it. If you got the land for cheap, moved it, it would've been a good deal except the 1/2 mile away portion.

I don’t really understand, the law is stupid, leave the home where it sits, sell low, so the buyers can afford to fix it up, I assume the taxes will be crazy and moving it means building another basement and gotta buy la d do now we are looking at the cost of the mansion as it would cost key ready . Too bad I’d love to live there and get some family to share the monthly costs of heat hydro all maintanence, lawn care, up keep, I’m running out of brearheca home thAt size would need a live in maid several, this ten dollRs is actually ten million plus, no wonder I’d buy it if there were no strings though

I know that house. It is in upper Montclair. It is pronounced Watch Ung. It is very nice area. Taxes are high. That homes is by where Telly Savalas had home. Great view of NYC skyline

I no but you have to pay to have it moved because they won’t let them keep it on that land anymore that land belongs to the city or something and they want to build a regular houses Selling him out for lots is here if you have to have it moved but you have to renovate it all to the expectation to the city so you know what kind of money That would take.
