“A massive weight off my shoulders.” Army Veteran Describes Opening Up to Others

Although he was medically discharged, Ryan felt guilt about leaving the Army. Back at home, he wasn’t proud of his new job and started to feel worthless. After experiencing symptoms of PTSD, Ryan was encouraged by a friend to seek support. One-on-one therapy, as well as talking with other Veterans, helped Ryan work through his challenges and provided him with a support system that helped him thrive.
