A first positive point is related to the courtesy, kindness and, obviously, the highest competence of Aleksandr D. Malofeev. The kindness with which he offers some suggestions and remarks to the good pianist Jiaxi Li makes sure that she does not feel too uncomfortable, in front of so many people and with a piece that is stylistically so difficult. Jiaxi Li seems a talented pianist. Best wishes, Jiaxi! Александр Дмитриевич Малофеев: never sufficiently praised for his delicacy and courtesy towards people, for his absolute skill, clear and pearly touch, adamant stylistically accurate and intense phrasing. Never sufficiently praised for his intense and profound studies since he was 5 y.o., for his deep sense of responsibility and respect for each audience. Bravo, kind and strong, BRAVO: it is nothing, words are not enough.

I could not have expressed my thoughts and feelings about Alexander any better. He is, in my opinion, the finest pianist to grace our beings in the past 40-50 years. He, as Celia stated so correctly, a true genius. Who at 22 or 23 years of age could be holding a masters class to another young pianist at his age? He has matured so greatly and gracefully over a very short period of time that it’s mind boggling. Good luck to Celia in her quest for greatness. Receiving help from Alexander is a gift she should cherish greatly.

@@richardbutler9466 Thank you for what you say. I really respect this very young artist. He has now just turned 21 and was in his early 20s at the Masterclasses in Buffalo. From the video we can deduce a great delicacy in giving advice and suggesting solutions for improvement, I hope he can succeed in establishing himself in the artistic and piano world which is a difficult environment. Many thanks to you for your observations, I also wish you the opportunity to listen and appreciate this young talent more and more.

Cellist, Your words touched me to the heart - you put into words the deepest feelings I have for this young man who embodies our longing for the highest sentiments humans are capable of. Clearly, this “Old Soul” was sent to us by a Universe that knew how desperately we needed him in this troubled time. Kindness, respect & tenderness - they have penetrated his music and spread outward into the world…

A total delight to see Alexander giving a master class. It would have been fascinating to hear what he has to say. The sound in this video is really poor. Alexander Malofeev is the world's leading exponent of the piano and this is an occasion of historic importance. A missed opportunity for the world of classical music
@kaymohr5646 Жыл бұрын
@kaymohr...It is such a delight to see Alexander's music teacher, Elena, and realize that this beautiful lady is, at least, partly responsible for Sasha's musical genius. His mother should receive a large portion in the early years, because she wanted him to be educated beyond his school years, and arranged for him to have tutoring in a school of music. His musical genius began on that old piano they had, at home, and of course, within the heart of Alexander, even before he started formal training at 5 yrs. old. That genius has always been in him, was created in him by His Creator's Heart of Love and the beautiful music he would someday share with you and me!

Commento già inserito in altro sito, su questo evento, qui con piccole correzioni. "A very hard (by technique and interpretation) piece, which the young pianist interprets with technique and feeling. In the video only the sound of the piano is clear and well audible; unfortunately we hear absolutely nothing of what Alexander Malofeev suggests to Jiaxi Li (the protagonists should be equipped with a microphone ). But the ideas that the talented Maestro Malofeev provides to the young pianist, who understand what is proposed to her, are very clear and evident. An interesting style lesson. Congratulations to Jiaxi Li for the care taken in being correctly in accordance with the dress code of the event, as well as for her interesting piano technique. Are quite obvious the warmest compliments to M ° Malofeev, whose touch, whose pertinent and conforming interpretation can be perceived even only by the very few notes suggested to the student Li (I listen to M° Malofeev and I remember the interpretation of Sviatoslav Richter, a myth as the awesome pianist world-class M° Alexandre Malofeev). I enjoy listening to this MasterClass."

It has thousands of views. There are few "Likes", perhaps because Malofeev--the star of the event--lacks a mic, so the most interesting part cannot be heard, so viewers do not stay after discovering this oversight.
