Harri, this performance was broadcast on the NBC-TV program "Saturday Night Live," and it was the second of TWO songs George and Paul sang together that night. Look around and you'll find the other, "Here Comes the Sun," the Beatles classic that George wrote and sang lead on. Makes sense -- they did one Beatles song and one Simon and Garfunkel song.

Hi, Harri . Homeward bound, Richard Cory, I am a rock and The sounds of silence. The four songs of the first record of Simon and Garfunkel I bought some 60 years ago. I didn't know that version. Thanks for your your job, and your channel.

Paul Simon, at a couple of points in these performances, gives a look like he is in awe of sitting there and performing with Beatle George. They also do either Something or Here Comes The Sun, can't recall. In fact, it may be more than two songs, but I know they both play each other's songs, and both men seem to have a lot of respect for each other, especially when playing the other's work. George obviously had equal respect for Paul, or he wouldn't have done this.

Originally from the 1966 album, " Sounds of Silence", Paul and George performed this on SNL in 1976. With the simple and captivating melody, this folk inspired tune, Paul's lyrics paint a vivid imagery reflecting his ability to storytell. George was the first Beatle to appear on SNL after their breakup. His duet with Paul highlighted two unique voices blending with the intimate accoustic guitar performance for some beautiful musical moments. Although I agree Simon and Garfunkel's harmonies on this song, unbeatable. Great reaction Handsome Harri ❤❤ Thanks JK 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦
