A veiled reference to the mass suicide in Guyana in 1978. It’s about not conforming to the crowd.

This one is from about 1967 or so, maybe even 1966. One of my all time favourites of his. The voice, the lyrics, and the beautiful guitar work.

I've avoided them for a long time because I thought it was a sister's gimmick thing. They actually have a very original sound that I like. And the bass player is hot.

Thank you Harri for the great reaction to Emily's music. Not quite 17, a couple of months to go but yes it seems her voice is developing more range and control all the time. Emily is constantly working. This is not a hobby for her, it is her dream and something she has been working towards all her life. I'm with you Harri, I think she will become a household name, and I am enjoying every step of her journey. Take care.

It's definitely the Ray Charles song. Note that Barbara is playing an early Fender guitar called an Esquire, which was effectively a Telecaster without the neck pickup. She also left on the "ashtray" over the bridge pickup, and plucked with a thumb pick. Good singer, too!

So glad that you liked it Harri. ✌It also said that people liked her so much they started throwing money at her. I promise, it won't be the last song you hear of hers. She is also still alive, and it says it was the Ray Charles song, but I guess she made it her own.

Barbara Lynn is an American R&B and electric blues guitarist. She is also singer and wrote most of her own songs and played the lead instrument in all her songs. This is Ray Charles song, "What I Say" played on her left handed Fender Telecaster. Such a talented lady, best known for her hit, "You'll Lose A Good Thing". Great reaction Handsome Harri ❤❤ Great choice Cynthia❤👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

From the 1983 album, " Today", this was the first song to feature the vocals of Jimmy Fortune when Lew De Witt left the band. Their signature close harmonies and smooth country sound, add distinct flavour to this tune that had doo-wop beginnings, when The Four Knights recorded it in 1953. Can't beat their wonderful vocals, especially the extraordinary bass. Great reaction Handsome Harri ❤❤ Super song Annie 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

Why did the producer give him a ukulele with no strings on it? It is obvious that he does not know how to play it. So why didn't they put him at the piano instead he can play that.
