I didn't know about the musical references, but it doesn't surprise me. There are ancient philosophical and spiritual themes woven throughout all of these movies, elements of Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, philosophy and probably much, much more. My own personal theory is that the three main highly influential deities in these movies, The Oracle, The Merovingian, and The Architect represent the Hindu Deities, Shiva - The Destroyer, Vishnu - The Preserver, and Brahman - The Creator. The Oracle is bringing about change (destroying the old routine through her manipulation) and is also the only one of them that has a self-destructive habit of smoking. The Merovingian preserves agents and programs from old versions of The Matrix and tries to hold on and keep things the way that they are. The Architect is the one who laid the foundation and created everything that we see in The Matrix. Agent Smith is Mara (The Devil) who sends armies against Neo to try to keep him from fully awakening.

Wait a minute... doesn't this mean that every east Indie Hindi and probably at least half our Pakistani homies who've seen the trilogy with us has just been sittin on this knowledge and helping to hide it and keep this a secret, that they in fact had heard what we were thinking as just some badass chants of nonsense just to get it to match the melody of the instruments were actually words they very well versed in, understood the songs themes and how they obviously lined up with the themes of the movies, and they obviously KNEW us to be completely oblivious to all of this as they were sitting there watching us watching it and just watched as it all when right over our heads... and not a single one thought to speak up huh? The movies were always filled with symbolism and subliminal. Specially the 2nd and 3rd movie. The first movie was supposed to make you think outside the box and then find the secrets in the 2nd and 3rd movie but everyone just saw them as purely action movies because they weren't spoon feeding the answers anymore like the 1st one did.

Makes the movie worse. Neo lives within God, as God is One. Neo isn't the Christian Jesus, who is God wrapped in flesh. It just doesn't work, even though they're both referred to by the same word. The word "One" has a different meaning in the text than the movie. In the text it means "Everything." In the movie it means, the special person (only one). Most people can't wrap their minds around the difference. This makes the whole Franchise flawed.
