Women despise other women. It's wild to me. Most women are "not like other women." And they see themselves as a part from, or one of the "good ones." One that the guys will accept as different than other women and let them have a pass from all the horror other women are gonna face. Just like other minorities who voted for him they seem themselves as the exception. We need to work together to care for one another and not be such an individualistic society. It's wild. I was sadly not shocked by the internalized misogyny that showed its face. In 2016 I had to accept (we all had to come to terms with…) the staggering racism, xenophobia, fear and downright absence of empathy, kindness and compassion that persists in our fellow man. I was raised by my grandfather a Holocaust survivor and he taught me to always hope, always face life with optimism, but don’t fool yourself into assuming people are inherently good. Most are, but some simply aren’t. Fit some of us it’s just so obvious how we should be, how we should live but other people are driven by a different set of motivations. It’s demoralizing, depressing and ultimately very SAD, but I’ll take some disappointment in exchange for feeling connected to our tribe.

I'm trans and became an orphan because of this election. Told my dad I was officially cutting contact with my mom (who has been abusive my whole life) and she made him choose between us. The hateful rhetoric that Trump and his supporters spread around leads to violence and hate crimes, so those in minorities are scared of being attacked, especially in red states. Here is what we believe. Keep it away from kids. We want kids to not be taught or persuaded in regards to sexuality. We want them to be kids. Trans sports should be its own category or compete in co-ed leagues if athletes so choose. We don't want kids to be able to transition. We are protecting their bodies. We want to protect them and make sure their bodies can mature properly so if they do choose to transition as adults they have a fully formed peni$ to turn into a v@gina and maybe will be old enough to decide if before they transition they can freeze eggs or have a bio child. We don't want to sterilize children. We don't want a bunch of poor Jazz Jennings who will never know pleasure with a partner or herself and didn't have a mature enough body to be able to properly transition and have the physical body necessary, it's tragic. I know trans people are concerned about staying in their body and experiencing puberty but it serves a purpose that will benefit them. I'm so scared for what it will do to all those people, and I'm so nervous to see how it will also affect us. Our politics tend to kinda copycat the states and we have a federal election coming up in a year and several provinces just had or are having their elections. Hoping canada stays safe to give the folks who can move a place to seek refuge. I know there was some discussions on changing refugee conditions for people coming from the states if it was due to trans/homophobia but it unfortunately probably never happen cause canada does so much of our trade with the USA, so doing anything to upset them would fuck us over finically (I don't think you should prioritize money over people's safety but our government does not hold the same sentiment)

I’m trans and Canadian and our government has our own looming clown (PP) preparing for an election, parroting republican US ideas, but my heart is with you all right now. 💛 Especially with my fellow trans people, and all other marginalized people, on that side of the border. I’m terrified as an immigrant living in Texas. I’ve spent almost entire life here, this is all I know. I’m tired and frightened. Growing up exactly the same as everyone else but having zero of the rights they do has always angered me, but I stayed motivated to grow in spite of it. And now, I don’t know. I’m scared for myself, my family, my female and queer friends, strangers who will be affected. Please please explain to me what you think will happen with Donald Trump in the white house? He has NEVER been against gays or their rights. He's been democrat his whole life up to this point. None of us are against trans individuals either. I'm a HUGE Trump supporter and I have zero problems with trans individuals and some of my favorite artists are lgbtq and trans. Im Bisexual myself. Here is what we believe. Keep it away from kids. We want kids to not be taught or persuaded in regards to sexuality. We want them to be kids. We want women to not be beat up and closed out of sports by bio men. We want women's rights in that regard and for us to matter, bio women matter. Trans sports should be its own category or compete in co-ed leagues if athletes so choose. We don't want kids to be able to transition. We are protecting their bodies. We want to protect them and make sure their bodies can mature properly so if they do choose to transition as adults they have a fully formed peni$ to turn into a v@gina and maybe will be old enough to decide if before they transition they can freeze eggs or have a bio child. We don't want to sterilize children. We don't want a bunch of poor Jazz Jennings who will never know pleasure with a partner or herself and didn't have a mature enough body to be able to properly transition and have the physical body necessary, it's tragic. I know trans people are concerned about staying in their body and experiencing puberty but it serves a purpose that will benefit them. If you really want to attack the people that are causing an issue with that please attack the food and drug administration who are putting so much hormones in food that our children's bodies are sexually maturing at 10 years old now. As far as ab0rti0n rights go. DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN IN OFFICE FOR 4 YEARS, KAMALA COULD CHANGE THEM TODAY BUT THEY HAVENT. WHY HASNT ANY DEMOCRAT BEEN ON THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN PROTESTING THAT CHANGE!?! It's up to the States and each state elects it's own leadership who makes that decision. Trump is not going any further than that, it's in each states hands. Late term is unacceptable. I'm all for choice up to 10 weeks after that it's a no. Plain and simple and that should be acceptable. I've been there. I've had one and I can tell you it's fu*king traumatizing and horrific and it's been 16 years and I still remember the date time and every nightmarish moment. Hopefully anyone who speaks on it passionately knows what they are actually fighting for because it's NIGHTMARISH!!! Nobody wants anything but to protect Americans our rights our way of life against foreign invaders who could do us harm, protect kids until they are old enough and mature enough to make life altering decisions and protect fully formed babies from being sl@ughtered on delivery tables ok!? We don't want ab0rti0n to be birth control, that's all. No I don't believe we have it right as far as those rights go right now but allowing chop shops is not ok either and irresponsible women should not be allowed to take out fully formed babies that are viable willy nilly ok, that's repulsive. In other countries you cannot apply for citizenship until you learn the native language. Here in Texas we are forced to learn Spanish, there are several jobs you can't even apply for without being bilingual, it's INSANE!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME LEGALLY FOR THEIR SAFETY AND OURS OK!?! They will get fair wages, not be afraid of their family being separated every 2 seconds and if they get in a car accident they will actually have valid license and insurance to cover their damages. Thank you for saying something. I'm a gay, disabled trans man and seeing silence from so many creators is less comforting and more agonizing because it feels like they don't care or see the pain those of us who will be effected most are going through. It isn't comforting to have someone who doesn't want to "ruin the vibe" ignore the very real cost this election has. I don't need regular videos about the situation by any means, but an acknowledgment of those of us who are scared goes a long way to feeling less like the world is caving in on all sides. I don't know what we're going to do but god I pray it is even only just half as bad as we are fearing. It will still be a terrifying and evil time to live through but at least there would be a chance at rebuilding. Right now I fear there won't even be a stone to kick with the plan to level the country that looms over us.

I’m sorry that you feel so scared. This is a scary time for America; we truly don’t know what Trump and his administration are going to do, and it’s terrifying. The only thing I disagree with in your statement is when you mentioned other creators. I disagree in particular that them not talking about the election means they’re ignoring their audience. I was not having a great day and was thinking emotionally and I forget that the people I follow are more essayists and those who regularly talk about controversial topics or the like so seeing them shy from it is hurtful. I also follow political channels and seeing them not directly mention trans people being in harms way in all this really frustrates and discourages me. Obviously not /all/ channels need to mention politics. I actually did not expect Julian to mention anything (mainly because I don’t keep up on his live stream content as much as I wish I did) so that was a pleasant surprise. We’re all processing this differently and ultimately I don’t need a internet celebrity to say something so I feel better. I just want people in general to acknowledge what a blow to several communities this is and many won’t until an influencer tells them to care or brings it to their attention. Not a system I’m particularly happy with but one that exists regardless sadly. That said, I do agree that people likely need processing time. We all do, I know I have and am still processing. I hope more people are willing to make messages of hope (doom and gloom even when acknowledging the impact on minorities is not helpful for mine and others mental health) because already the amount of unalive attempts and completions have gotten frightening and people need to hear that things will be okay. We have to survive because d3ath is not an option but hope is crucial to the sustaining of life in times like this. If that at all came off harsh or clinical, I’m sorry. I don’t mean it to be. I don’t feel angry this week. Before the election I felt a lot of fear, but now I feel sad. I hate how divided everyone feels. My family and I are worlds away just because of the media we consume and I don’t understand how they can be so blind to the fear and suffering of other humans. I try to extend as much understanding to them as I can, but I never feel like I get the same respect. They don’t even know how much damage they’ve done to our relationship because of their unwillingness to even consider that they might be wrong for a second. They will get fair wages, not be afraid of their family being separated every 2 seconds and if they get in a car accident they will actually have valid license and insurance to cover their damages. I thought about you and Jenna this week. Jenna could spit some real life advice back in the day. When I felt the darkness Tues/Wed, I found myself taking note of some of her past advice, and I felt a bit safer. The very next day, I had personal actions in my personal life that showed me she was right about a good world. Julien, your empathy here is tangible, even if you are angry. And you've spit another piece of wisdom I'll be sure not to forget, and let these feelings I have now drive me to do better for the better. Keep going. Theres 600 something comments as we speak and i cant even find one that not a supoortive comment. Im Canadian and im scared too, evrytime i see a video posted about the elections the comment section is filled with this guys supporters saying horrible things, i dont know why but for me the comment section is always so scary to read because it feels more real, it really shows me the real face of people. And all that being said i dont know if this is just well moded or if this community is really just exactly as amazing as i think it is.... Been part of this community since i started speaking english back in 2014 and its always been amazing. Please please explain to me what you think will happen with Donald Trump in the white house? He has NEVER been against gays or their rights. He's been democrat his whole life up to this point. None of us are against trans individuals either. I'm a HUGE Trump supporter and I have zero problems with trans individuals and some of my favorite artists are lgbtq and trans. Im Bisexual myself. Here is what we believe. Keep it away from kids. We want kids to not be taught or persuaded in regards to sexuality. We want them to be kids. We want women to not be beat up and closed out of sports by bio men. We want women's rights in that regard and for us to matter, bio women matter. Trans sports should be its own category or compete in co-ed leagues if athletes so choose. We don't want kids to be able to transition. We are protecting their bodies. We want to protect them and make sure their bodies can mature properly so if they do choose to transition as adults they have a fully formed peni$ to turn into a v@gina and maybe will be old enough to decide if before they transition they can freeze eggs or have a bio child. We don't want to sterilize children. We don't want a bunch of poor Jazz Jennings who will never know pleasure with a partner or herself and didn't have a mature enough body to be able to properly transition and have the physical body necessary, it's tragic. I know trans people are concerned about staying in their body and experiencing puberty but it serves a purpose that will benefit them. If you really want to attack the people that are causing an issue with that please attack the food and drug administration who are putting so much hormones in food that our children's bodies are sexually maturing at 10 years old now. As far as ab0rti0n rights go. DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN IN OFFICE FOR 4 YEARS, KAMALA COULD CHANGE THEM TODAY BUT THEY HAVENT. WHY HASNT ANY DEMOCRAT BEEN ON THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN PROTESTING THAT CHANGE!?! It's up to the States and each state elects it's own leadership who makes that decision. Trump is not going any further than that, it's in each states hands. Late term is unacceptable. I'm all for choice up to 10 weeks after that it's a no. Plain and simple and that should be acceptable. I've been there. I've had one and I can tell you it's fu*king traumatizing and horrific and it's been 16 years and I still remember the date time and every nightmarish moment. Hopefully anyone who speaks on it passionately knows what they are actually fighting for because it's NIGHTMARISH!!! Nobody wants anything but to protect Americans our rights our way of life against foreign invaders who could do us harm, protect kids until they are old enough and mature enough to make life altering decisions and protect fully formed babies from being sl@ughtered on delivery tables ok!? We don't want ab0rti0n to be birth control, that's all. No I don't believe we have it right as far as those rights go right now but allowing chop shops is not ok either and irresponsible women should not be allowed to take out fully formed babies that are viable willy nilly ok, that's repulsive. Please tell me what more scares y'all about Republicans? Immigration? I've got that too. We aren't against it, only illegally. In other countries you cannot apply for citizenship until you learn the native language. Here in Texas we are forced to learn Spanish, there are several jobs you can't even apply for without being bilingual, it's INSANE!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME LEGALLY FOR THEIR SAFETY AND OURS OK!?! They will get fair wages, not be afraid of their family being separated every 2 seconds and if they get in a car accident they will actually have valid license and insurance to cover their damages. WE WANT THINGS TO BE DONE LEGALLY AND SAFELY THATS ALL. I will tell you right now nobody is coming for your rights, nobody cares about your sexuality. We care about y'all, we care about children, we care about our country, period. I have zero problems hearing anyone out or answering anything to calm anyone's nervousness or trepidation about the future. I think people forget Trump's been president, all he did was keep w@r from happening because he's the pit bull America needs in this day and time because these other country's are getting bold and crazy and America needs and deserves protecting. Children need and deserve protecting. That's all that's happening
