@@muhammadnumanbhat5342 you didn’t read my comment properly i never said allah doesn’t address women in the quran im specifically talking about directly addressing women in third person or in first person as an example when allah in the quran addresses the prophet wives he says *O wives of the prophet* he is directly addressing them in first person or when allah says *divorced women should wait by themselves for three menstrual cycles* or when allah says *mothers should breastfeed* he is addressing women directly in third person im aware that the arabic language uses the masculine form when addressing both men and women together but the question im asking is why the quran never addresses women in general directly in first person and third person except for those special cases i mentioned because the quran does in fact address men in general directly in third person and first person but why not women ? Thats the question that has been running in my head and inshallah i will find an answer.

I'm a student of Shaykh Akram Nadwi. He's not like you think he is. I studied Bukhari and Muslim with him and he believes that every single hadith in those two books are UNDOUBTEDLY strong. No one can question them. Abu Layth met Shaykh Akram ages ago before hardly any of his views were on KZbin. They don't meet now I can assure you that because there views are too different on the fundamentals of Islam. I can tell you this much though, all the deobandi ulema in the UK have respect for Shakyh Akram. So he's not a heretic or believes in crazy things.

@Hisham Malik because this directly contradicts the quran in multiple places For a hadith to be sahih not only does the chain have to be correct but it cannot contradict the quran and it cannot go against reason. Does Allah not say, (2:256) "there is no compulsion in religion." Does he not say, (18:29) "So whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Does Allah not say, (10:99) "Had your Lord so willed, all those who are on the earth would have believed. Will you then force people into believing?" Does Allah not tell Muhammad (pbuh) to say in surah Al-Kafirun, Say: Oh you who turn away I do not worship what you worship, nor do you worship what I worship. And I will not worship what you worship, Nor will you worship what I worship. Your way is yours, and my way is mine. Couldn't allah have just told the prophet (pbuh) to force them? This has nothing to do with feelings, this is about what your lord and my lord has said. Stop worshipping bukhari and your teachers and come back to Allah. May Allah guide us..

Islam promotes critical thinking but not in a way that leads to nowhere and only does harm to individuals. Also, most types of skepticism are very far away from being healthy, especially when you have already established the truth with all of your senses, and it only becomes a door to going astray if anything. Because most of the arguments such skepticism comes with hold no actual value or evidence to whatever they might claim or wonder about, and in Islam it is a core belief that clear guidance and certainty is never to be overruled by conjecture and fallacious arguments that are not supported. Also, it depends if the individual you are sitting with is only a layman that does not have much knowledge and only follows what the people around them do, or if it is someone who has been presented all the arguments and still insists on opposing something which is clear.

Look into golden age of Islam and how many Muslim scholars and academics and scientists contributed to the advancement of humanity in numerous fields in various forms such as inventions, theories, civilization, academia, etc... Now this is in the mode on the Dunya. We should excel and be the foremost. What about religion itself? Allah already completed his religion of al Islam. And the prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) conveyed the message. What would you do if you hear someone says I did critical analysis and concluded that men can have 5 wives or that the Quran isn't preserved or that jannah doesn't exist. Or you just going to tolerate this retheric. Or are you going to reject, refute and leave such an individual who has transgressed the bounds of Islam. And this is not just in Islam. Go to the west to the people who ascribe to liberalism and individualism. And someone there says homosexuality is bad let's advocate to ban it. Obviously the liberals are going to reject, refute and leave such an individual. Because they have transgressed the bounds of their ideology/belief/religion. And this is similar all over the world. Now even though Islam is complete. It doesn't mean critical thinking is taking away. For example look at books of the scholars where they extract benefits from ayat and ahadith and aqwal of the sahaba, tabien, and works of the scholars. That requires critical thinking. And there are so many examples. And Allah knows best I hope that answered your question akhi.

Salam Brother, I recently ran into a conversation with an ex muslim arab and he had an issue with the creation of the world 6 days or 8 days. I pointed out that the word Thumma could be taken to mean "moreover" but he disagreed and cited all Quranic arabic dictionaries. His challenge is : "What is said in the video is acceptable only if Thumma has two linguistic meanings (مشترك لفظي) .. but that is not true..linguistically thumma has one meaning..I dare you and him to bring one classic mo'jam that says thumma has a meaning other than order with time interval. There is difference between 1- a word having two meanings and one of them solves the contradiction 2- a word having one meaning but we fabricate a new meaning since its sole meaning leads to a contradiction."

@@UsxrUnknxwn Thanks for the info but to make my question more clear im aware the arabic language uses the masculine form when addressing both men and women and there is a hadith where a woman asks the prophet about this in a similar manner and the ayah 33:35 in surah al ahzab is revealed im aware that in the arabic language both men and women whether believers or non believers are addressed in the masculine form by default thats how arabic works but the question im specifically asking about is the direct addressing of women in general alone as in the style of directly addressing women in third person and first person and an example of addressing women in third person is when allah says in the quran *Divorced women should wait by themselves for three menstrual cycles* and an example for addressing women in first person is when allah says in the quran *Wives of the prophet you are not like any other women* in those verses allah is directly addressing women he is directly saying O wives of the prophet and Divorced women should wait he is not saying tell the divorced women that they should wait or tell the wives of the prophet he is directly and explicitly addressing them thats the point im trying to make and im aware that the quran addresses both women and men but im talking about the style of directly addressing women in general specifically and men in general are directly addressed in the quran and an example for that is when allah says in the quran *Forbidden to you are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters* he is directly addressing men in general thats what im trying to say why women in general are not directly addressed except for when allah directly addresses women exclusively like divorced women, mothers, wives of the prophet etc

We understand that the reasons of revelation can only be two: 1) as direct responses to events, incidents, or questions that took place, 2) others were revealed for strengthening, and governing Muslims in belief. Now you have to remember that majority of the time the Prophet (s) himself was either around MALE companions, (gatherings, wars, treaties, enemies etc.) or he was around women who were his WIVES. As you have mentioned there's various ways the Qur'an addresses women but not the way you are looking for - this type of addressing can be found in the sunnah and hadith of the messenger were there are instances of women approaching him for advice etc and he would address them specifically. @Farid Responds Hello Brother Farid, I honestly truly believe in Islam, I meant it's my religion that I chose (eventho all of my family are Muslim but I do the research about my religion and felt peace for it). But, just one question that has been shakening my faith for long time is about "slavery". Why is it in Islam is allowed to be intimate with "slaves" without nikaah back then? Then, why this slavery thing wasnt abolished thoroughly at that Era? I know that Islam has treated "slaves" with the most kindful treatments but then why the slavery itself was exist? Then Islam should have been abolished this system back then... I can't find the satisfying answer, even Zakir Naik and Omar Suleman didn't give a very good answer for this matter. My conclusion: The > BASIC < message of God to the human is that '' YOU '' believe in God and be kind to other human beings / > animals < and in the > RETURNED < God will > REWARD < you with a new life in Paradise. * The Quran ONLY guides you how to become a good human being " Nothing Else ". * You are a good human being or a bad human being that is YOUR choice. * No one can force you to become a good human being. * You MUST work HARD to become a good human being. * Why should '' YOU '' do good deeds and avoid bad deeds? * Do Good - it's for You. Do Bad - It's against you. * '' YOUR '' life is a TEST from God that you will choose to do either Good or Bad. * Find the excuse to help others and forgive others NOT the other way around. * '' YOUR '' final destination is either Hell or Heaven. * So work HARD toward choice of YOUR destination.
