I married a man who always told me I was too sensitive when he tried to control me. Early in my marriage, I was getting the feeling that he didn't like women and I didn't understand why. Trying to get him to open up about his childhood and upbringing was fruitless. He defended his family and continued on with little jabs at me, trying to make me feel insecure and less than. It was a game to keep me confused and off balance, unsure of myself and question any beliefs I held to the point of dismissal. I didn't realize what a dangerous game I was into with this man---I never thought that someone I was involved with could potentially be evil or do me harm. Today, I was scrolling on KZbin, so I come across a video, where a man is telling other men to tell women they don't want a relationship, but they just want to have sex. That basically, the man should lay down his rules and the women should follow. The logic was, if she can tell him she wants a long term relationship, then he can also tell her, he isn't interested in that and put her in a position to choose. The comment section broke my heart. The men were so entitled, so disrespectful, so proud of how many in my opinion- 'broken women' they had who agreed to their terms. One man said it was either his way or the highway. It was just a written comment, but I could feel his arrogance, his violence! It saddened me, I just didn't recommend channel and I stopped reading. I wondered what the women who dealt with men who agreed with that nonsense became after some time. May God help us.
