back in 1971 when my Mom came out, there weren't a whole lot of resources for queer and trans youth, many ended up runaways, street walkers or worst of all, by their own hand. Today, Queer and Trans Youth can reach out in their schools and online for resources to help them deal with other peoples' problems about them. I grew up Gay, I've never known anything else, I dealt with a lot of hate, placed blame and shame, from my own family, my father and his wife, I had to find my strength to rise up above the bigotry and hypocrisy, I wish I could do more than offer words, as a Queer or Trans Young Person, you have to accept You for what and who You are, unconditionally, it's okay to have that voice or dress like that or wear your favorite scent made for the ''opposite'' gender, You Are A Creation of Love and Beauty, You Change The World just by Being, You Make it a more Wonderful Place, Because You Love You and everyone who accepts you As You. like Me, You're Fine and you're going to be Great at what ever you want to be or do, because you're You.

I may be 35 but this still inspired me to keep going with tears of happiness so I can only imagine how heart warming and encouraging this will be to our youth. We must protect each other. We must love one another.
