Actually that's exactly what legal separation is the longer a separation is the less chance a spouse can get spousal support because if they were separated longer than actual marriage the judge you guys live apart longer than you were actually married also you have to get a spouse to sign the divorce and cost they don't just grant you a divorce unless 1 drugs 2 abuse.
