Hello there! While we understand that certain words can be offensive in certain contexts, we also believe that all languages and their ways of expression will always be beautiful as long as they remain respectful. In this particular instance, our wonderful coach Atalia is telling the story of El Charro Negro, a traditional Mexican urban myth from the towns of this country. In this context, the word "Negro" has no offensive connotation as it refers to the depiction of a color. The black color. We will always be supportive of the well-intentioned use of forms of expression in any language.

@@FluentForeverApp I absolutely agree. This is also why I don't understand Latinx people taking offense to the word "Latinx". It's an *English* word, not a Spanish word, and it has literally no offensive connotation. So getting aggravated about it because it's not being used in the Latinx community to describe themselves is as good a reason as English speaking people getting aggravated about the *Spanish* word "negro" for "black".

​@@FluentForeverApp I think they have a problem with being called a generic name I supposed to a specific like you know Mexicans are from but a negro a black person a colored person and African-American and Afro-American where are they from that is the problem it is casual misappropriation in the midst of the Aboriginal indigenous trying to find out where they come from it is an issue although it is not your issue personally it is a term of separation from your brothers and sisters we have a name we have to start using them are you Cherokee Choctaw Aztec Mayan stay who you are LOL others to take note of your presence. that is basically it

​@@romanski5811 part of the historical issue with most African-Americans and Latinos is that they have been culturally misappropriated with man-made terminology to the point that they don't even know who they are now and without that you have no standing are you Cherokee Choctaw are you Aztec Mayan choices like that you are not black African-American know any of those odd made-up terms you are not Mexican know any of those made-up terms you are the Aboriginal indigenous of North and South America at the very least if they want to generalize things
