It was lovely to see the Bulbarrow Hill view point again. It was one of my Dad's favourite stopping points when we'd be taken for a country ride in the car of a weekend when I was a child. An old Standard 9 I seem to remember. Happy days.

Terry 🧙♂, your devotion to duty, going down through the wet grass to film the steps is to be commended (shame they weren't worth it), I'd have thought "s*d that, they can explore for themselves if they do the walk" 🙂. So, hats off to you. I had a picnic up on Bulbarrow once, pretty near that "furry" oak, and had to dash then because of the rain, but luckily the car was nearby. Also, thanks for the Natural History lesson, I'd never heard of the Five-Spot-Burnet moth, only the Six-Spot, so it called for a visit to the Butterfly Conservation website to find out about it, so thank you. Keep 'em coming. Bev.

Hi Bev. Thank you so much, your encouragement really does help me to do what I do 😀 Actually, I quite like walking in the rain sometimes - maybe I'm weird 🤣 Terry

Really enjoyed this 2 parter from the spectacular views to the spotted moths. We’ve been talking about St Catherine’s Chapel recently, so nice to know we need to visit the farm shop first. Ty! ❤

Thank you for the wonderful videos. I recently started wandering and running around my home town area in South Dorset. There are so many distractions in life now, that can keep you inside. And the terrible news we get fed each day can make one less inclined to step outside. But the rewards for getting out and connecting to nature are immense and addicting. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and to tell you that you do a wonderful job in creating these stories and videos. Cheers.

You certainly needed a Gore tex waterproof jacket on that particular route that day, when in those sudden downpours.

Yes, it was crazy heavy rain - I never mind rain though when I'm out 😀

Beautiful walk as usual and loved the nostalgia of Jack Hargreaves - I have most of the Out of Town episodes on DVD, still watch them now.

@@terryyarrow1230 If you still want to watch some of Jack I would recommend the KZbin channel "Dave Knowles - filmmaker" he was part of the original team who made the series and has the rights to some of the episodes - which he hosts on the channel.

Apparently the key to St Catherine's Chapel is kept at the Farm Shop you have to pay a deposit. So I read anyway. I would love to see the Grass Stair Steps restored someday - a team of volunteers is needed. It's very unique and would have been spectacular in it's day.
@terryyarrow12305 ай бұрын
Yes, the key is available Rachel but unfortunately the farm shop wasn't open when I was there. I've seen the grass stairs when they were in good condition and I too would love to see them restored 😀
