An atmospheric, autumnal amble, ambulating around areas of astonishing (that's enough alliterations I think. Apart from which I couldn't think of any more) NE Dorset Terry 🧙♂. You were lucky in this and the previous video, to catch some rare rays of sunshine to enhance the colours. There's usually an all-to-fleeting 2-3 week window to catch nature's spectacular show, and very often the weather is against us, so well done. I'm with you with regards to the Horton Tower, I've always admired it, usually from Drusilla's Inn (which I read is now reopened, must pay a visit), but often with a pre or after-lunch wander up to it and around the area. Keep up the excellent work, Bev.

Thanks Bev 😀 Yes, I was fortunate that the wind didn't come till after I had filmed 😀 I appreciated your ample alliterations 🤣

wow great weather and so beautiful woodlands, your poem fits right in, lovely, and interesting to see those men at work. That sheep field looks like a good spot to fly a kite, did you make your own kites as a kid? Mine did not last too long... but it was fun. Like the tower, nice landmark. Thanks for the walk!

Ah, thanks so much 😀 Yes, we used to make our own kites, thin canes and some brown paper - not sure they ever flew that well though 🤣

From some angles, the tower looks like a giant robot. I think that any day soon, when the moon and stars align, the robot will come alive again and terrorise the local villages. Thank you for another wonderful video :D

Horton Tower reminds me of the Granitz Hunting Lodge which is set in a beautiful forest at the baltic sea, here in my state

Interesting that they both have connections with hunting.

Enjoyed that all the way. A nice folly but it was meeting the forest chap that did it for me. It spawned a talk about the forest management, which I found interesting. With what humans now know you'd expect kinder practices for the earth. A super time out. Mark

Ah, thanks so much Mark 😀 Yes, I wish I'd thought to record the whole chat with the forrester but I was so interested in what he was saying that it didn't occur to me till later. Plus, I guess I don't like to be intrusive.
