A Minimalist Pocket Pal | My Secrid Slimwallet after 2 years

I bought one of these bad boys recently, it’s really great however, the plastic bill compartment part attached to the metal part was held on by one lousy strip of glue and when I opened it the leather edge kept rubbing against the metal and felt extremely lose, especially when I put card it’s as the leather wrapped around, the glue lifted up, so I ended up using my own super glue application under the plastic piece where there was no glue, and man this made the world of difference, it doesn’t make that rubbing sound and is certainly not coming up, maybe this wasn’t any issue for most, but mine was glued together terribly, now that the entire underside of the plastic part is glued down to the metal, it feels way more durable and solid

If you Shake it and the cards fall out, scratch with a key both sides in the aluminium case (red felt) repeat this till stay in place again👍🏻

Awesome video man, I’m thinking about getting a secrid, my only concern is the part where you put cash looks a little flimsy, and there’s no designated spot for an ID. Kind of like a flap or something.

How is the plastic bill holder holding up? I watched some other videos showing the adhesive would somewhat wear off after prolonged usage. Did that also happen to yours?

Hey! I've found that recently the adhesive started to lift at the edges. I believe this began when I overfilled one of the side pockets and cause the leather to arc away from the plastic. I just used some material-appropriate epoxy along the edge to fix her up :)

Hey Man, Quick question. I bought the Ekster and I saw that it peeled off my cards and the indentations on the embedded ones tended to wear off. Does it happen with the Secrid?

Hey Jose, thanks for the message. I'm assuming you mean for the cards in the pop-out holder itself. In which case, I have been keeping 5 cards in there, which is the max. In my experience there is enough clearance for cards with embeds to slide without causing wear or peeling.
