The Enderman is my favourite mob, my personal theory is that it's not hostile but shy/scared of you, I made an Enderman character in a book I've been writing, and it's an ally instead of an enemy.

I open the vid and first thing I see is an Endermen underwater

Endermen are humans who got trapped in the end when escaping the wither and ate only choros fruit and grew taller and taller until they were endermen. They were sad because they were monsters so looking at players made them jealous from what nice creatures the players were. Hope this helped!
