that might be because he did a bit of ad-libbing/variation from the script (this was our second run through) (and btw the teacher was NOT impressed by him doing that aha) so him doing less blatant reading etc. makes for a more natural flow :D

Aww I can understand if the teacher wanted you guys to just follow the script, but to be fair to Tom, that's his acting style, and it kinda depends on what philosophy you have when you approach a script. 😂 I'd take it as a compliment, as you probably did too, that he could do a variation of the script so easily. That's partly the writing, you know. 😆

I have to admit i clicked this video for tom but i stayed because of how beautifully written this scene is. i understand that tom was ad libbing a little but if it was that easy for him to ad lib the original script itself would still have to be a work of art in itself. i know that sometimes when you're given a bad script that it can be hard to find places to improvise or ad lib but as i said before amazing actors reading an amazing script.

I like how super-natural it feels the whole scene like, a lot of the time scripts can be really over the top and dramatic and just not at all believable for say, a teenagers dialect or whatever but it genuinely seemed like they were just two people having a conversation and it flowed really well and it's also not overly awkward i like that, it's just the right amount :)
