there are so many fine examples of 21st century watch making.. many brands from the 18th century still around, like Vacheron Constantin (1755)... Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet from alter in the 19th century... and now with brands like Philippe Dufour and FP Journe carrying on this tradition.

Well done ... what a great film ... watches are hand made art and we often forget how difficult it is to develop and produce these little high tech machines. Simply said a watch only shows the time but for the real watch lover it is more than that. It is a piece of art for the wrist. Unfortunately during these times many buyers uses watches as an investment and the real watch lovers do not have a chance to get the piece of their desire.👍🙂🇨🇭

Brands are afraid to admit the design crisis in the 21st century. Only by releasing "brand new" models with Genta's design AP can make money to survive. Just making "facelift" of their 40 years old designs Hublot can ask from $ 5,000 per watch. Which models you'll re-releasing in 20 years as historical? You can't rely only on rich people with bad taste.
