A Motorcycle Went Down On Is Dangerous Road! | Tail Of The Dragon

Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, NC has 318 curves in 11 miles. It passes along North Carolina-Tennessee State Lines. This is the most popular road in the US for motorcycles and sports cars. It is also very dangerous. 29 deaths has been reported on this 11 mile road. Those curves were no challenge on an electric unicycle!

Thanks! It’s best to go during the week because you’ll be able to enjoy the road. We hit the dragon on a Wednesday late morning. Utilize the paved pull offs when you see a faster vehicle approaching behind you. Definitely say away from the double center lines. Law enforcement are strict and will pull you over. Check 9/13 for killboy photos. We’re under “other” or unique vehicles. Good luck!

The Tail is a great road. But have you road the Back of the Dragon, Rt 16 Tazewell to Marion Virginia?

Our cruising speed was around 30 mph. We definitely hit higher in certain areas. The speed limit is 35 mph on the dragon. Our goal wasn’t to speed but to be hyper focused on those 318 curves and enjoy the views.
