I cooked fresh eggs and Marinate the jar with soy sauce. it becomes a simple side dish to eat when you lose appetite in the hot summer. My neighbors will be suffering from the heat too so I will share with them. That is the rural life in Korea. 🙂

Your production values are absolutely top notch- equal to your cooking skills. I've wanted to visit Korea for a while but now i'd love to visit even more.

Love the editing , the storytelling n most of all how the environmental noise is timed just right to give a realistic feel but doesn’t annoy 😂.. also love the feel of personal yet detached. Like at the we hear you sharing the eggs with your neighbours without seeing them . Very smart editing style .

A tip for peeling eggs. The albumin in the water they were cooked in helps to remove the shell. If you leave a half inch of the cooking water in the pot, cover it, and give it a couple firm shakes, the eggs will peel themselves. This is a lot of eggs though, might have to do it in batches 😂 Thank you for the video!!!! Stay cool!

Yes maybe a dozen in a large ziploc bag or large jar, add the cooking water then shake and they can just fall right off.

I know splashing yourself with that cold water felt good my friend but be careful doing that if you are EXTREMELY hot..it can actually cause your body to have adverse reaction. Keep that cool towel around the base of your neck. You are a true gem. Every time I stop in to watch you work you are always sharing the fruits of your labor. Good friend is a good man.

You're a joy to watch and your personality shines. I made kimchi yesterday so I watched your video. This morning I made pickled daikon and carrots. I also made pickled cabbage and the ingredients you used for this egg recipe (aside from the soy sauce) were the same. I love eggs. They are the perfect food and I always have lots on hand. I am definitely going to make a small sample to taste. I've learned that you can't go wrong if you are using ingredients you like. Thank you 😊

Great videos, now I am craving eggs! By the way, my girlfriend and I recently tried adding baking soda to our boiled water (apparently it helps release the eggs from the shell) and so far two batches went way easier and peeled really well. Cheers :)

I’ve found steamed eggs to be the absolute easiest. After steaming 15 minutes I also let the eggs rest in an ice bath for 15 minutes before cracking on the broad end and peeling. There’s a natural air pocket there that gives you access to the thin membrane that separates the shell from the egg. You must pull both the shell and membrane together and it slides off easily.

Do you think more youth will return to the countryside to live and work? I am already seeing this decentralization in the USA because the birthrates were dropping and unemployment was a problem. Also competition and housing was rediculous. Maybe it could solve some problems for Korea, too? You made a beautiful choice, even if it is only for a summer. Thank you for sharing your journey. Here we call it the homesteading movement or tiny house movement. People become self or community sufficient and enjoy life and their hardships more.
